Yeah, Pac doesn't deserve credit for doing all the things people said were impossible before he did them.
Canelo failed 2 drug tests and pulled out of VADA testing. Why don't you despise him like you do Pacquiao? Weirdo.
More moved goal posts. That’s why I don’t take any fantasy fight predictions involving Pac seriously here. People just love to underestimate him and be wrong and then say **** like “hindsight is 50/50” afterwards. No dip****, at some point you gotta learn and quit acting like Pac hasn’t defied the absolute odds over and over again. He’s the only fighter today who’s done what was perceived for him to have been impossible, not once but multiple times, the man has had multiple careers and each time the goal post was moved for him on what’s impossible.
But he dont light the Real LW champions. Anf he was gifted a title at SFW When the Robbed JMM. So there's that.
Probably for the same reason as I...because he didn't avoid random testing, took a hair follicle test, and tested clean in every pre and post test. Pac avoided random testing when he was most dominant, and his own coach exposed him and Ariza.
Pac agreed to unlimited blood tests up to 21 days before the fight and immediately after the fight, unlimited urine testing. How is that avoiding? He said he didn’t want blood drawn before the fight and there’s a video of him floating around 6 years before blood test talk that he thought he lost to morales because he thought last minute blood withdrawal weakened him. And no one else was doing drug testing at the time he was being singled out cos of his success. And worse, floyd wanted to do it under floyds corrupt pet usada who covered his peds and others.
I do my best to never take fantasy fights seriously! This is a fun post to look back on. Even though I wasn't here when this thread came out, I understan why he was underestimated as you state. When this thread came out, he had been stopped twice, not just a loss, bloodied up by Morales. But something happened... he went on to do things no one has ever done. He raised the bar with his career and that's for sure! I wonder who saw him beat David Diaz and KNEW he would fight & win all the way up to 154lb title. Amazing. I admit I clowned the fact he fought David and moved on up, but I only posted against him twice (Clottey- who barely tried to be offensive and somehow bruised Pac more than any fighter he gone against since Morales busted him up.) And Mayweather. I was on the fence with DLH. I knew he was bigger, but he hadn't fought at that weight in a while. Cotto, I thought was ruined by Margarito, but he did win a few more fights, so that was an incredible win for Pac IMO. A thrashing.
Why do you insist on saying something so goddamn stupid like Pac avoided random testing for years? It's been proven again and again that your statement is false. GGG exploded on Canelo and shredded him far worse than Floyd ever said about Pac and PEDs. GGG said that Canelo had been using for a long time and even mentioned needle injection marks on his body. Canelo threatened to sue, but didn't follow through. Pac sued Floyd. And won. One person was clean and took it to court. The other barked, but decided to he didn't want the kind of legal attention that would expose an entire career of doping. Canelo FAILED 2 drug tests. And then he pulled out of VADA Testing.
I don't care...He beat Barrera, Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto. He was never expected to have any success about LW. JMM was never robbed. Like many observers and half the media I scored their third bout to Pac. I actually had JMM edging their second bout, but no robbery. But you are not interested in talking boxing so not sure why I bothered.
Barrera was a good win, probably his best win. The Oscar fight was a circus show. Most of us didn't realize how f***** Oscar would look after coming back down to 147 after almost 10 years. Oscar's condition was more surprising Pacquiao's performance. He may as well be fighting a heavy bag. The Hatton win was a good win, not great as Mayweather had already exposed him and shattered his jaw, a good win though. The Cotto fight defitnitely has an asterisk, fighting for a world title at a catch weight. I'm sure you're one who gives Canelo s*** for having requested a catch weight for GGG back in 2016, so not sure why the double standard here. What's worse is that he didn't ask for a catch weight in his next welter weight fight, so it was obviously a tactic used to gain an advantage. Again, a catch weight for a world title, I don't think so. Big asterisk. I'm interested in debating the ridiculous notion of Pacquiao being the GOAT...
Oscar was a huge upset. We all knew he would not be at his best, but he was still heavily favored. Pac deserves full credit for the massive upset. Same with Cotto. Mayweather didn't expose Hatton, he outclasses almost everyone. Pac gets more credit from me by dominating him at Jr Welter and claiming his lineal title. I won't argue PAC as the GOAT, but you can't trash him for doing what people said was impossible.
