I have no excuses for Pac unless he gets a really bad cut over his eye so he cannot see or struggles to make weight or he visits too many stripclubs and parties before the fight - TFFP

Isnt his a no excuse thread???
Johnco should not be allowed to join this thread. I hear excuses all the time from him about the first fight. Socks, hand, sore butthole from Roach. Give it a rest!

No Excuses for Juan Manuel Marquez!!!

what happened in the past does not matter. if pac losses and johnco comes up with excuses, then blast him.

but right now, i take johnco's word. he won't make any excuses.

    No, not at all.

A prime Morales would have still be beaten by Raheem at 135 lbs due to styles and size.

In the 1st 6 rounds of Morales-Pac 2, Morales showed every bit of himself in the 1st fight.

If you seen Pac-Morales 1, you would know how that nasty cut bothered Pac. He can barely see from that eye since round 5. That cut was caused by a headbutt (not a punch like Lewis-Vitali).

Headbutts do happen but you are missing the point. A win is a win, yes, but I will not be fully convinced over the winner's superiority over the losing fighter if the losing fighter suffered a nasty cut due to headbutt if the fight ended up close.

Prime Morales would have done to Raheem what Freitas did. Caught him coming in and made him weary.

And I understood your point. I disagree with it. It's part of fighting, and that cut wasn't that bad to me. I have seen worse. Losing to someone due to broken bones, torn muscles, etc, those are bad to me. Different take on the situation.

Well a close fight and arguing the outcome to me is different than arguing why a fighter lost. It's not really an excuse when you argue whether or not a fighter lost in the first place in a close fight. That's putting the outcome in question. But arguing WHY a fighter lost is different. IE, Pavlik beat Miranda because Miranda was weight drained.

And we disagree on severity of injury that matters in a fight. If Pacquiao had broken his hand, I would buy it as an excuse certainly. Swollen hand, well, no one gives PBF a break for not finishing fighters with hurt hands.

I don't think things are unclear. I think how clear they are depends on the side you're on. I have no side. I picked Pacquiao by KO in 9. I would prefer a JMM win if nothing more than to stop some of the craziness here. So for me, its a lose-lose situation or win-win situation.

I think the line should be drawn at significant injuries only. Torn muscles, broken bones, etc. Cuts and bruises should be ignored IMO. But that's what I think. For others, what I think means jack.

Yes it's subjective. However, fighters bruise their hands often. Ask any fighter here and they will tell you this. So I don't deem it significant. Broken bones are not nearly as frequent, nor are torn muscles. That is why I draw that line. If we make way for bruised hands, deep or not, which is subjective itself, then nearly any fighter will have an excuse. The frequency of injuries isn't nearly as subjective.
