And I know and understand full well people's aversion to his fans here- it causes a knee-jerk reaction away from him. Ultimately thats not his fault though.

I think he is great for the sport. He slowed down for a few years but if you look at his career as a whole he has fought big names and he is a ganster in the ring, always hell to deal with.

Anyways, just want to give him props before he fights Marquez in a few weeks, even though I will be rooting for JMM.

P4P #2 and going into a tough fight with a guy who may have his # deserves some props.

I give him his props all the time. But I also recognize his limitations. I don't care who wins really, but I picked Pacquiao by Ko in the 9th and I'm sticking with it.

The shame of it really is that many posters never really have an opportunity to express respect for him because they are constantly having to temper the posts of overeaching fans.

    Great observation acb.

I really can see JMM pulling this one off. Although Ive heard some outstanding news in PACs camp, he'll be more than ready for this one.

JMM is arguably the most skilled boxer ever to step the ring, he'll give everyone fits with his skills. If PAC pulls this one off, hats off.

    this is #2 vs. #3...
I cant think of anything this Mega p4p since Hagler #1 vs. Hearns #2. JCC/Sweet Pea??

If I didn't know you better I would think you were lowering expectations for Pac, or preparing a case for him after he loses.

Because I know you don't really believe this.

respect to Pacquiao. The guy has absolutely phenominal boxing ability and definately doesn't get recognized as much as he should.

He gets alot of recognition for his exciting fights but alot of people have a hard time giving him his props for his ability in the ring.

You know its funny...Im not setting **** up on this one. It is really hard to think of anyone more technical and fundamentally skilled than JMM. Lopez maybe?

I do hope he gets knocked out I make no bones about it.

i agree with everything u said. pac is great for the sport and always brings it. he's humble, works hard, and plays even harder. i dont know how anyone cannot like him

but u should give waldo a bit more credit too :D

Its really not that bad..xcept for some Mexicanos in here...Its a bit hypocritical though coz I know alot of them loves and respect PAC.

I mean a Mexican not liking PACs style?? cmon think about it.

Who I cant stand the most are the style snobs. They would take a ****in obscure fighter who pot shots and runs and yes yes they will beat the #2 fighter in the world. ..

you know what I mean? the usual term for these fighters are "Supernatural"

    :hey

I have to take you for your work on this one. I suppose he belongs in the conversation of most skilled boxers ever, but I would place Lopez and Floyd above him in just recent years.

This guy here does not get the credit he deserves, always exciting to watch one of the few guys I will shell out PPV dollar for. Many gets ripped off in pound for pound ratings and after the guys he has beaten I cant believe anyone has Calzaghe over him its an injustice pure and utter bull****.

Manny is great for boxing dont care where he is from or how obnoxious his fans are the guy is an ATG and proves it by fighting the best period. If he beats Marquez convincingly HE ARGUABLY SHOULD BE #1 pound for pound
strictly on the opposition he has beaten.

It has to be a consideration if PBF keeps ducking quality fights ,I cant justify him keeping the pound for pound title fighting has beens and no hopes .

Great points. Its a big risk for both. One was almost finished and humiliated in a round, and one has to be asking himself if he can ever get back to round one and duplicate the feat.

I am Mexican and like Pac and his style.
ITS THOSE DAMN FANS OF HIS. They are very delusional and offensive towards anyone else. The worst might be Johnco. I really dislike that guy.

Oh and my prediction is JMM by UD.
I believe JMM will be more careful this round and i dont see any knockdowns.
He is very hungry and is training very well from what i read. I always liked the Marquez brothers.
I see his skills and hunger being the difference in this fight.

I find Floyds and Pernells skills more dynamic hence actually more talented than guys like JMM but as far as fundamentals..I give the edge to JMM and Lopez.

I do think Floyd is a better tactician and just so damn smart in that ring
