You've put into words what I couldn't, ppl keep saying he's a MW and to look at higher weights completely ignoring the fact that he only reaches higher when no one wants to fight him to stay busy.

I disagree completely to be honest. I think if cotto and alvarez unify the winner will be the new king at lmw.

I'd like lara and molina to rematch with the winner taking on k9.

    The top 5 should be

    Cotto
    Alvarez
    Molina
    Lara
    Bundrage

All 3 main belts are now in the top 5. Plus all the top 5 are quite close together and could easily change order.

Maravilla is the real man at 154.... don't know why that is even being disputed SERIOUSLY?!

Anyways when did Bundrage become champ? Didn't he get KO'd bad in that one fight with the double KD?

When was martinez's last fight at 154?

He became a belt holder by knocking out spinks.

His move to 160 was to fight a notable opponent because no one wanted him at 154, his success against Pavlic and and the the feared Williams (at the time) was too good for his own good.

Martinez is not hard pressed to make 154. He's filled into a true middleweight, but he will have NO problem moving back down to 154. The only real question here is when will the champs at 154 get enough name recognition, and enough draw to make it worth Maravilla's time. 154 is a weak weak division and thats a damn fact. Junior middleweight division should be called "the Leftovers".

yeah ok, we'll see what happens when he comes back down and takes out top contenders, the only reason he is fighting thee is because no one wants a price of him at 154.

How about a rematch between Margo and Maravilla, of course at 154.

Beat it my ass. So Margarito is not a legit 154 now huh?

You for one wanted a Cotto-Margarito rematch, and you dont even consider a Margo-Sergio rematch? Is it because of the handwrap? or is it the eye injury?

    talking about boxing:patsch

He's a MW title holder, dummy. How the **** is he the 'man to beat' in an entirely different weight class?

Good lord, you see some dumb **** in these forums sometimes lol

More weight divisions = diluted and scarce talent. The guys at 154 are proof of this. But just because the division ain't pretty doesn't mean the #1 guy in that division exists in another division. Sergio is MW king. Cotto is SWW king.

Angulo or Cotto would probably beat him, I'd give Lara a good shot at taking it on points.

You guys talking about 154 being weak lol... we have a champ at 160 who refuses to fight middleweights and won't even discuss unifying the belts. How weak is that?
