    You guys dont know how to enjoy your boxing!yous only had that one pathetic 'USA!USA!' chant.it made us all laugh that you lot were using a chant that was once used by wrestler hacksaw jim duggan.

    Something else i found funny was the amount of Yanks who didnt even know where joe calzaghe came form..i heard lots of people(with american accents) thinking he was irish,english!:rofl :nut

    And one of my welsh mates had his flag with him and another yank came up and asked him what 'Team' is tha flag from.talk about scraping the barrel:verysad :verysad

    If an American showed you the state flag of Alabama without telling you where it was from, would you know what it was? The same applies, why would the average American recognize the Welsh flag?

    its a fairish point but then wales is a country and it has a very reasonably recognisable flag. how many flags have a big **** off dragon on it ?
    silly thread really, designed to stir up more **** when there's far too much anyway.

    that usa usa usa thing is akin to a baby crying though, very annoying.

    It was hilarious. :lol::lol:

    At one point, a lone American fan got up on his feet, turned around to face the crowd behind him and started shouting the U-S-A chant and trying to get all his buddies to join in.

    No one gave him any back up and the whole crowd errupted into chants of "Wales, Wales", the poor guy just stormed out of there.

    Americans can't match the football style chanting of the Brits, there was even a fight that broke out a few rows from me because of it.

    was that in the corner?i thought i saw a group of secuirty guards wading in.

    also about the whole 'USA,USA' thing was really annoying but when they starting throwing there fist in a circle (clockwise) as if it emphasis the point .:patsch

    No it isn't. Wales is a relatively small country that not even many Brits on this forum know is actually a country. There are hundreds of National flags out there. There's no good reason for Americans to be familiar with a flag from a small nation that even it's neighbors don't recognize as an independant nation. Wales has no real ties to America.
