Man, if you've deluded yourself enough to think that people in Russia, China or wherever stop to consider the importance of the fine nation of Wales, you are very sadly mistaken . It's just reality. Live with it.

I disagree. When you consider that Wales is a part of the U.K which also has a flag, it only strengthens my argument. New York is bigger, more important, and more heavily populated than Wales. Despite this, you believe that foreigners are only supposed to recognize the U.S flag, while Americans are supposed to recognize both the U.K flag and the Welsh flag. I'm sorry but I just can't go along with that.

None taken, i have no ties with the UK or Wales in particular, but i have no problem pointing out floored logic and ignorant behaviour.

Thats because your caught up trying to prove that New York state is more important to the globe than Wales, which im not disputing. What you are ignoring is the amount of exposure that a countries flag gets by comparison to a state flag on a global level. Think of circumstances where the New York state flag gets shown outside of the United States, there aren't many. Whereas a national flag gets represented at every second international event that country attends, whethers its a sporting event or a political event or something similar.

Hell i don't even really agree with the OP's sentiments i just disagreed with that comparison being used.

Bull****. Canada and Mexico aren't governed by our legislative bodies' laws. Wales is governed by Parliaments laws. I'm not saying Wales isn't a country, just that your comparison is hugely flawed.

Wales is a country, sure, but not in a word that means much internationally except maybe in sports. It doesn't have reps at the UN. It doesnt have an olympic team. WALES doesn't go to war, the UK goes to war. Parliament writes law for Wales.

Wales is part of the United Kingdom, let's not pretend it is Australia.

They have a better knowledge of countries around them. Europe is about the size of America. Europeans have much easier access to more different countries than do Americans. You guys have a decent amount of knowledge about the U.S as whole, but very little knowledge of the individual states. Euros talk all types of **** about how they're supposedly so much smarter than Americans, yet many of them are just as ignorant as the people they criticise.

no what i have said is correct you can try to get out of it with some more **** but thats not the case, we had counties etc before you country existed so perhpas history is on my side and your government making things there way doesn't mean it is the same as ours.
