I have never seen the Welsh flag shown here. Wales is never in the olympics, they're not on the news, and I don't even think they have representation in the U.N.

Yep, and this board provides overwhelming proof of it.

I edited my post with a bit more information, please feel free to look.

You can say it's a country, but as far as the rest of the world is concerned, the UK is the important one and Wales is just a part of the UK.

thats your view, as i said we came up with a way of setting things out which existed before your country, so you can make whatever judgements you wish based on your laws etc but they are wrong as it is not the same in the uk.

They aren't in the olympics. The IOC refuses to certify them, instead, the United Kingdom gets representation.

They are not in the UN, instead, the United Kingdom gets representation.

They do not have full control over their own laws, instead, Parliament (where Wales has representatives) writes the laws.

They are a country in so much that they have a history of common culture and language seperate from the rest of the UK. On the world stage, however, they are just a part of the UK in most respects.

He never said those flags would impossible to recognize. His point was that most people wouldn't recognize those flags. You being to recognize them in no way invalidates his argument or proves you know more about Argentina and Columbia.

Dont be silly son, the states have a greater percentage of uneducated people than Europe. Im not even argueing a point here or there. I love your Coca Cola, Blue jeans and highly fattening foods. Its just that as a nation, foreign affairs aint that high up on the priority list.

Unfortunately, you are right about the uneducated part and wrong about the foreign affairs part (See the Iraq war).

****, that much is true and I am an American.
