No it is not. I don't know why you don't see this. Furthermore, you couldn't even spell Argentina correctly yet we're supposed to believe you could recognize the flag.

Other than wars your involved in, I doubt the average American has changed much. Hell, only 30% have a passport.

Yeah i suppose its all about point of reference. I live in Australia and am a Rugby fan so i see the Welsh flag every now and then but if i disregard that and boxing, i probably wouldn't see it very often at all. Its more the insignifance of a state flag in comparison with a country's that i was arguing, it probably varies in the US but in Australia although there are big state rivalries flags are limited in exposure, i can't even picture a state flag off the top of my head.

Plus the Welsh happen to have a fairly memorable badass flag, which is rare.

Yes, to the Iraq War. But to assert that the US has more ignorance per capita is a cliche. There are many, many ignorant people here, yes. But there are many, many ignorant people abroad as well. I've met some and encountered quite a few here. And to the wanker who just assumes that only he can recognize flags: come off your soapbox. You haven't a clue what people know or do not know here. You just come off as pompous and a blowhard.

Don't call me son. On what basis are you opining that The U.S has a greater percentage of uneducated people than Europe?

Again, the land masses are much bigger here. The only countries near us are Canada and Mexico. If each State in the U.S was a separate country, more of us would have passports.

:-( States in the US are also made up of counties. You are on a loser with this argument.

By standards in poverty and education systems. Along with social factors and personal beliefs. Any nation, be it the US, the UK or any place that has a sizable portion of its population that believes that the world is 4000 yrs old is a vaguely ignorant place in certain areas.
