TBH the only way i recognise flags is because of sports rivalries between nations.

living in the uk , every team who has a long rivalry with the uk at sports would have there flag recognised by most men.

i am guessing that it would be the same for other nations

the harder 3 stripe ones sometimes get mixed up as they have the same coulours just in different orders

texas is the only state flag in america i see because of its advertising .

wales because it is such a famous rugby playing nation would instantly have its flag recognised by all the rugby playing nations as it is so distinctive and most football first countires fans would also recognise it.

 

America has no banks left. They've all collapsed.

 

the welsh flag is NOT one of the most recognizable flags in the world. as far as i know, the welsh flag is only flown internationally by their national sports teams. besides that, the union flag represents the whole country of the UK, and is more well known to represent the whole of the isles. st. george's cross is more well known internationally, st. andrews cross most likely as well. ching chong from china would'nt know what country the white+green+dragon flag represented.

 

Considering since before 9/11 a valid Driver's License was enough to get us into just about all of our immediate neighbors and since that time security restrictions and air-line prices have made travel prohibitive I don't exactly see why more Americans should have a passport.

So, sir, if you're trying to make a point on that issue you're barking up the wrong tree.

what you don't get is that Americans don't care about your "country". seriously you think we give a **** what your flag looks like. your "country", and I use quotation marks because I think your really using the term "country" very loosely, does not matter to us. you claim were ignorant, but its really that your not worth knowing about. come on man you exist as a country because we let you. if anything you should have started this thread thanking the US for letting you be a country...

Do the Welsh pay taxes to Inland Revenue? If someone from Wales serves in a military is it not for the United Kingdom?
