Well this train's boiler just blew the **** up while on the middle of a bridge, which collapsed under the explosion and dropped down into a canyon in a twisted burning heap of metal and hair extensions and eye brow waxes.
Kinda cheap to do this to you, but that's some ESB Post of the Year stuff right there. Paulie was extremely fortunate not to be docked points himself.
Paulie was totally outclasses last night. He had to hold on for dear life. After round 2 when hatton shook him and almost put him down Paulie was not willing to fight anymore the entire fight. I gave Paulie round 1 and round 5. All other rounds went to hatton. The punchstat numbers dont really display how one sided this fight was. You root for your fighters even after the fact that they lose..even convincigly. I think paulie should have finished the fight. Paulie clinched excessively..was not doubling the jab and had zero use with his right hand. Paulie actually tagged Ricky with the right everytime he threw it, he threw it about 3x a round total. Yep, my pick was way off. I will still support Malignaggi in the future. Losing to Hatton and Cotto doesnt mean you cant come back and return to using your excellent boxing skills against B level opponenents like Torres, Urango etc
There was a white towel on the tracks and it derailed the whole ****ing train, hair extensions and make up and fishnet stockings all over the place in the aftermath.
I would be worried about him getting in with the likes of Urango, if he was struggling with Hatton's power then he'd find Urango just as problematic, the guy can bang.
Hatton and Urango are way different in terms of foot speed and handspeed. remeber that fight, hatton looked like a speed demon in there versus urango. Paulie should be able to easily out maneuver urango and take a decision without much difficulty. ngoudjo though will likely beat urango on points and take the IBF. Paulie has already beat him and could do it again!
No one besides delusional Paulie fans should be surprised by what happened to Paulie last night. It's been stressed time and time againt that Paulie nowhere near as slick as some make him out to be. He gets hit way too easily has no power and no effective punches besides a jab. Hatton adandoned his plan to fight smart early on and just bum rushed Paulie. Being that Paulie's supposed boxing skill aren't all that good, he could'nt handle it and resorted to simply holding on for dear life and fighting to go the distance rather than win. It's amazing that Paulie was even able to get to this level considering his limited skillset. It's going to be a rough time for Paulie. He doesn't have a crowd pleasing stlye or a belt. There's no good reason for the big networks to put him on. You probably will only see Paulie back on Showtime or HBO if a more appealing fighter is looking for a name to fight in order to pad his record.
