Kelly can take a punch, I think the clean shots he took from Taylor shows this and Taylor was on the offence which was a rare sight from him. Calzage deserves one fight of his choice but he must be carefull, this may be one to avoid...and as far as Kelly he is Middleweight Champ but I think he needs to clean house vs A.Abraham and a few other middlles b4 he moves up to 168....let joe fight his Tarver fight or his Jones fight. if he wants but for what....I did not think he gained anything fighting at 175...the weight did not benifit him....I think he should be fighting at 168 for the rest of his career, he got his win over B-Hop...fight Bute and whoever looms @ 168 and retire

I think people are going to see just how powerful Kelly is in the fight with Lockett. He's walking around at 164, right now.

I have no interest in Joe vs Pavlik !!

I want to see Pavlik v Tarver ..The mesh between Pavliks' style and Joe's style will make for an ugly fight !!

Tavrer vs Pavlik is a much better match up !!

I prefrer Joe fight Jones or a Dawson I like the idea that it will be more boxing ..In a Pavlik fight I can see allot of clinching because Joe will have to find his way in to get to Pavlik due to his height and the way he fights ..

alot of people think the Calzaghe against Hopkins was much worse than the one against Kessler, but styles make fights, and Calzaghe was never gonna look good against Hopkins. Hopkins is still a crafty and excellent fighter and a stylistic nightmare for Calzaghe

Kessler is also an excellent fighter, but counterpunching has never been his strength, and its hard to get off first successfully against a guy with the speed and skill of Calzaghe.

I honestly think that a Pavlik fight would not be as enteratining as say the Pavlik Taylor fights or Pavlik Miranda ...Pavlik's style is suited for the likes of Tarver not Joe ..I think people expect a barn burner but I think it will be the quite opposite ..Especially since Pavlik is a slow starter ..

Kelly didn't "hit the canvas" against McKart. He touched the canvas with one glove.

I have heard about but never seen the Mathias Bedburdick fight which was Kelly's 7th pro fight.

Nice work...Kelly slid like 3 feet on his ass and popped straight up.

like i've said Pavlik is tall and lanky and has skinny legs so he falls easily, but his chin is rock solid.
