    :deal:thumbsup

Yesterday just further confirmed his greatness. He called out the hardest hitting 140lber in the in world and gave him pure hell. Even in a "losing" effort, there was no loser yesterday. I actually think they should rename the entire thing and great fighters get inducted into the "International Boxing Hall of Erik Morales".

Mate I'd put him straight back in with Maidana again. Both guys have already said it's all systems go. It's guys with speed that Morales will struggle with.

Be interesting to see if Juan Manuel Marquez deems Morales "worthy" of facing him now. There's also whispers that if Barrera wins his next planned bout, of a fourth fight there.

    **** BARRERA! :)

haven't seen much of maidana how would you rate him against Tzsyu who would have to be the hardest puncher i have seen at 140

Two completely different styles to be honest. Tszyu as you know was a precision boxer. Maidana is very crude, but every single shot is loaded up and designed to hurt. He's a pressure fighter, to say the least.

I know its not directed at me...

Tszyu had greater one punch power. Maidana's power is a bit over stated...he is a cumulation type puncher, more than one punch ko power. Heavy hands no doubt but kostya had more one punch pop.

Edit: i may have misread the question. Tszyu by stoppage. Marcos is too wide and crude for tszyu. Kostya wouldn't have a problem landing but he'd know he is in a fight early. Maidana starts fast but gets stopped somewhere around 7 or 8.

    Agree completely, Jet.

Would you go straight back into a rematch with Maidana if you were looking after Morales? What are your thoughts too Zelk?

if he got a draw and oly 4 points with that eye i would be going straight back as i am sure by the sounds a re match would be a big Dollar fight for him I must say however that just saw that maidana beat demarcus corley so a real bright light in my eyes corley is a real ***** so glad must get that fight as well

My word. I had maidana winning, only because he swept the last two rds. But i would have no problem with a draw or win for erik. It was an awesome fight, their styles suit each other, both guys thought they won and talked about a rematch during the interviews.

As you said, keep erik away from guys with speed and he can still compete. Outside maidana, barrera and marquez are the other options. Even though jmm messed erik around, its a logical fight since morales craves to win a fourth title.

Exactly. And just as important as having two eyes, morales' punches hurt maidana more than the other way around. Marcos had to fight through a heap of pain to get the win. Tough boy.

The corley fight isnt one of maidana's best. The cross dresser gave him problems.

Maidana looked alot better in this fight than he did against Khan, he has either improved from the Khan fight or Morals was making him look good, id like to see a rematch and have Morales fighting with two eyes and see how it goes, would be intresting and another great fight.

I doubt he improved after khan. Amirs style is hard for maidana to look good against. Khan moves and fights with distance. Erik is slower of hand and foot and is willing to stand and trade. So that suits maidana. Suits eric too....rematch!
