    Think about it :think

Tyson Fury was the BBBofC HW champ and then won a world title.

Kell Brook held the BBBofC welter title until he beat Shawn Porter.

The PBC belts will just be the U.S. version of that title. Guys will compete for it until they get a world title shot.

I see it more as them trying to legitimise their belts as real world titles.they already try to do it with their current belt holders

They used to call wilder the heavyweight champion of the world on shows and make no reference to wlad at all. Calling Jacobs vs quillin a world title fight but won't mention gggs name

Casuals aren't smart if they are told enough these are real world champions they will believe them because they don't know any better and when pbc are putting 3-4 title fights on one card and the commentary keep saying how great it is and ignoring the actual world champions sooner or later the casuals will believe them

Yeah I see that too. Slick advertising. When the show first started they said it would be a place where fighters don't "have to jockey" for belts.

If they actually had dominant champions in their ranks then it might work

But they lacks wlad, fury, usyk,GGG,canelo, uchiyama, lomachenko,Rico, inoue and Gonzalez. Is they had all them they would be dominant but true fans know who the real champions are

I agree. The best thing they have on lock is 147. Half of 168 and arguably the most fighters to circle each other at 175 ( not the most popular but the largest number).

I doubt people Google anything regularly and are content with being naive'. People still fall for internet schemes and if you ask them a question on the street even with the knowledge of the world in their hands they won't look it up.

Just ask a person what continent is London on. Wait and see.

no your wrong again...ask anyone who the heavyweight champion is and they will say it Tyson fury...they wont say that chump Wilder..
people boxing knowlege is in there DNA you cant fake a champ...us white fellars grew up with ali holmes hagler tyson ect ect...we know who the real champs are...PBC just thought they can have the UFC model but at the end of the day(pbc favorite line)people know who is the champ....PBC is a glorified reality show...

I think the idea is good but I'm just not sure if Haymon, one guy has enough resources to make it work. It will just cause a split.

World titles recognized by the national federations across the world.

There is not a single nation that recognizes PBC.

    ....because there's no PBC belts.
Cant exactly recognise something that doesn't exist

No the British belts would be equivalent to belts made by NYS or CA athletic commissions (if they existed).
PBC belts are equivalent of UFC or WWE belts.

You guys keep saying they are making PBC belts, but so far all the belts the PBC fighters have are the same belts non-PBC fighters have.

    Another nonsensical thread.

Let me know when the WBC belts are considered the same as the British titles.
