If PBC belts are the only belts casuals know about then yes....they will be the only ones that matter.

You don't think boxers should have any choice in who manages their career?

That's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm suggesting that if the PBC belt makes the other belts obsolete, that would be very good for boxing.

Haymon is taking the UFC route and I think it could be a working formula.

If EVERYONE is with Haymon, then it's good.

    No. :nono

Because so many boxers today are being exploited for their work. Haymon doesn't do that. He gets the boxers the best benefits and financial rewards.

And it's not like they have much of a choice now if they want to make it big.

    It's Haymon, TR, K2, GBP.

If it's all Haymon, we'll actually see free fights on the daily, maybe the ppv model will be relinquished altogether and we'll see 1 legitimate world champion per weight class.

That's exactly what I said though. :deal

That's why Haymon has to build a monopoly and force people to go under him.

I think Haymon is just an "advisor", what ever that means. Different promoters and managers handle his fighters I believe. For instance Dibella is "promoting" the upcoming event, though I suspect they aren't actually doing anything besides lending their name for the promoter box on the contract.

I don't care if all boxers are with Top Rank, Golden Boy, or Haymon, as long as they're all under one roof.

Well as long as the PPV model is gone and done with and we get free fights.

    I'm all good.

Seems to me like Haymon is actually bringing us free fights on network television and other two... not so much.

A lot of Haymon guys aren't tied to one promoter, which gives them options.

Promotions lock up fighters and block big fights.

I wonder why Haymon just doesn't become a promoter himself... maybe he doesn't want to pay the promoter fees? :think

If he did, he wouldn't be sued for breaching the Ali act all the time.

It might take a long time before Haymon controls it all, and in the meantime, boxing will suffer, if he pulls it off it could be to the betterment of the sport though. (even though I don't like Haymon but he's been proving me wrong about him so far).

You're incredibly naive if that's what you think. :rofl

    2. He could give up the manager license, that's what I meant, moron and be a full fledged promoter himself. :hi:

Everyone always sues him because they believe he's performing both roles. If he just becomes a promoter, he could run the **** without that nonsense.

    Learn to read.

If he acquires more and more fighters, he could easily control the sport.

    Learn your **** man. :deal

    1. He would just do a swap, managerial contracts into promotional contracts.

He could find a way to make it happen, he's Haymon.

But what he's doing now works for him, so I guess he's not making that next step yet.

In the near future, you can bet the farm that he'll be a promoter. He probably doesn't want to be a figure in public, that's why he remains behind the scenes.

    2. If he gets enough fighters, he could easily dictate many things. :deal

Look at how many fighters he has assembled in just 5 years. It's absolutely insane.
