Has been utterly exposed as a beat-me-down style.

Clottey,Penalosa,Abraham and Wright all lost their last significant fights in a lopsided fashion. Distance, workrate and angles outclasses the style easily.

Expect the Peek-a-boo defense to go extinct like the cross-armed defense did.

If you're talking about the Juanma fight what you're saying doesn't really apply to Penalosa. Juanma was just much, much bigger than him and Gerry was past his best.

Were those peek-a-boos? I thought they were all high guards. Peek-a-boo is much lower and is only useful if you have dynamic body movement.

Ugh please die soon. It's absolutely unappealing to the crowd and in most cases it doesn't lead to victory. I'd appreciate if it died quickly.

No you're thinking about the high guard. Winky actually used it well it's just that he didn't mount a strong offense until later in his career. Williams beat him because he overwhelmed him with a high workrate. The problem isn't the guard, it's the low activity that many users of the high guard have(look at Clottey-Pacquiao). Kotelnik looked good against Alexander and he uses the high guard but he also improved his offense.

Well the thing is Abraham isn't really an exponent of the peek a boo style,he basically is a plodder with a high guard.
Check out old film of Floyd Patterson for it's greatest exponent, who also just happened to possess speed of hand and foot and great skill.

Shell defense, and Winky never lost lopsided in his career. He used his jab better and threw more punches than the others. He didnt have many flaws as far as top fighters go.
