This list is based on street cred on street's from Ciuded Juarez in Mexico to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to the UK in London and Norilsk, Russia back to Detroit, USA. In definition, a fighter on this list, is a one man army. Versatile, powerful and built for destruction. Number: 1. Chad Dawson 28-0 17kos 2. Manny Pacquiao 49-3-2 37kos 3. Juan Manuel Marquez 50-4-1 36kos 4. Paul Williams 36-1 26kos 5. Arthur Abraham 29-0 23kos 6. Juan Manual Lopez 25-0 23kos 7. Tomasz Adamek 37-1 25kos 8. Miguel Cotto 33-1 28kos 9. Bernard Hopkins 49-5-1 32kos 10. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 39-0 25kos Chad hold downs number 1, for two reasons. 1. He and Nonito Donaire are the only two title holders that currently have wins over another current weight division title holder. 2. His victory over a better class fighter, Tarver, was more impressive then wins against J. Diaz and Hatton. Manny moves to number 2 because of his win over a lineage weight division champion. And, Floyds name on a contract puts him back on the list. Again your input is needed as we move towards reshaping the list with your suggestions.
It seems to be worse than last time. Was that even scientifically possible given how bad the last list was?
That is shocking! You clearly do not understand the concept of Pound for Pound. Just because Dawson has a W over a a world champ in another division does not mean anything. These days theres more champs then contenders! Pound for Pound means you do not have to meet, but a theorising of who who would win if such and such fought. Therefore, A fighter could never move out of his division and still be lb4lb no.1! If what you're saying was true, how could anyone rank who is higher on the lb4lb list out of say, Pac and valuev? And anyway, youve got Cotto wel too low!
Mayweather at #10 is a joke. He should be #3 at worst. You also need to add Dr. Vitali Klitschko on there. Dominated just about everyone and rarely loses a round. He stops his opponents like a Heavyweight should.
TommyV, your my man. I hope this does not sound racist, but how many times has Manny fought a black fighter? And Marquez, didn't Norwood stop that unbeaten streak. You guys keep saying, Mosely is still P4P, how did he look before his last fight. Again, how many black fighters has he beaten. B-Hop is very skill fighter, but who has he ever beaten. Before, the Trindad fight, he was viewed has a very average boxer in a very weak division ( remember the Holmes, Joppys and Allens). And, don't tell me he beat Oscar, or Pavlik, who is Pavlik. He beat a good fighter that once had a great jab, Taylor. Look how he was manhandled by a guy that made him set and reset in the ring, like taking candy from a baby. You also talk about Vazquez, a guy that enters the ring already bleeding. And R. Marquez another fighter that has not improved in the last 5 years. If you want to help develop a list, not a paper list, a list of fighters that are NOW warriors, not legends. Come on with it. And stop acting like PC posters that don't have a life, by call other posters names. This is a classy joint.
