Look at the 5th photo from the top in the link below. It clearly and without ANY doubt shows haye in the process of swinging a metal tripod in the brawl. Now....you might get away with throwing a punch at another heavywieght (though never at a civilian, which haye also did). There have been plenty of press conferences in which one boxer took a swing at another boxer. You MIGHT even get away with taking that swing with a beer bottle in your hand....claiming that you simply "forgot" to drop the bottle in the heat of the moment. That MIGHT fly. Maybe. But there is no way on the planet Earth that haye can get away with picking up a heavy metal tripod and using it as a weapon to try to hit someone. A solid hit could be fatal. There is no possible defence. You have to MEAN to pick up a tripod and swing it. It can't be an accident. And that is 1st degree assault, which gets you jail time as often as not. But to make matters worse, haye is a heavyweight boxer, who supposedly can defend himself using just his hands. What sort of "threat" did he perceive that he felt the need to pick up a potentially deadly weapon and swing it at an unarmed man? Could you imagine one of the Klits, or ANY other boxer doing this? It's actually laughable that haye, who claims to be a top heavyweight, felt he needed a weapon in a brawl...though I doubt the German courts will find it particularly amusing. I think this picture reveals the true cause of the brawl: This content is protected David Haye just really ****ing hates ice cream.
Haye was being backed into a corner with a half dozen of Chisora's entourage in the vicinity. Anyone calling for prison is a troll or a ****in sissy.
This content is protected And yet so many people continue to defend him. And it's not like Haye has done anything since he moved up to heavyweight that's worthy of praise. I'm surprised he has any fans left at all.
Please. He's supposed to be a pro boxer and Chisora only had like 2 people behind him. Plus he threw the first punch. That 'I was scared' excuse shouldn't work for pro boxers, although I guess Haye isn't even that anymore since he 'retired'.
