Seeing his son in action has obviously whetted the old man's appetite. Chris Eubank Sr, whose Jr version is making his way as a novice pro, has hinted at an unlikely ring comeback...if the public gets behind him.The 45-year-old former two-weight world champion told The Sun he would love to fight old rival Nigel Benn on the same bill as his son.
"I'm a light-heavyweight now and when I look at 47-year-old Bernard Hopkins I think, 'If he can do it, why can't I?'
"To get back into the gym? Wow. To be hit again, to be hit in the chest, to be able to withstand a shot to the face, that is a dream for me, it is my fantasy.
"I was even talking to Nigel Benn and I said: 'Come on kid, we've got to get it back on'.
"It would be a fantasy for me to actually box again, especially on the same bill as my son.
"First I would needed public backing. I would never want to do anything to compromise the respect I seem to have as a boxer."

Pathetic, Eubank. Your 'glory days' :)lol:) are over, it's your sons turn to fail.

    He's a tube, always was.

Can't see Benn being interested in boxing again either.

It's potentially a seniors Super Six tournament at 185lbs with Eubank, Benn, Collins, RJJ, Reid and Toney if he could miraculously get himself down to that weight.

I have it on good authority that he looked really good sparring Montell Griffin in Top Rank Gym a couple of years ago.

He still looks in great shape for a fighter that retired in the 90's.

If only he was wiser with his money we probably wouldn't be having this discussion.

Not boxers, ex-boxers. That have been retired for over a decade. And that smoked cigars by the caseload with the specific intent of dissuading themselves from getting back in the ring.

Chris is a legend, but he knows he is far too old for a comeback.

Crazy that Hopkins is older than Eubank, really brings into perspective what he has accomplished.
