Agree with your assessment. Jose Aldo was a world champion in Jui Juitsu, he wasn't the champion of WEC his first fight. Pacquiao is a world champion in boxing, he has to learn a ground game and work his way through the competition to become a champion in WEC, but he could do it. Not worth is though, more money in boxing.
pacquiao with those 4 ounce gloves **** if it doesnt go to ground quick it would look like tyson fighting an infant
Dude, get real. Aldo or Yodsanklai would make you weep for your momma if you ran into them in an alley. In other words you need to respect the different skill sets. Aldo is just a vicious machine and Yod is a gdamn technical wizard. Both different from each other and different from Pac. Being different doesn't make them less of a fighter you know?
Bull**** Pac would get easily taken down and dominated. Have you seen the size of his legs? He's got the physical tools to have a great takedown defence, and we've all seen how easily he has learned new skills under Freddie and the ability he has use them effectively in fights. Definately wouldn't bet against him. Put him up against the BJ Penn that fought Edgar and Pac would destroy him within a round.
Pac likes to fight, no DOUBT about that. But UFC u need to develope the techniques first for a few years beat up some BUMS. THen gradually make that step up to elite level.Jumping straight from BOXING to UFC against the creme of the cream is almost suicide as toney demonstrated.
I like his build for it. I would pay to see him in an MMA bout. Putting him in with a top level fighter would be a recipe for disaster.
Yeah! I'm with you! Let's have a boxing match under MMA rules! That'll teach em! None of this non-boxing crap!
HE can train with Brendon Vera, Philippe Nover and Batista (wrestler from WWE) etc.I think the wrestling is the hardest skill in MMA.
Pac would lose, and lose badly. There are a ton of smaller guys like Jeff Glover who don't fight MMA because there are no good weight classes for him. Jeff would absolutely toy with Pac on the ground, and he would absolutely NOT trade punches with him for even a second. A boxer, no matter how great, needs at least a purple belt in BJJ before he can hope to compete in MMA, and that's a minimum of about three to four years work on the ground.
