The point deduction cost Maidana the fight

    I had it even both won 6 rounds, the kd in round 1 gave khan a 10-8 round and round 10 was 10-8 for maidana, so the correct card was 113-112 where the point deduction made the difference, this fight will grow on people when years go by I think, very good fight.

    Joe Cortez made me sick last night.

    He was pulling the same **** he did with Hatton when he fought Mayweather.

    I think Khan won it certainly, but both guys deserve massive credit.

    Two judges had Khan up by 3 points, so how exactly did the point deduction affect the result?

    yes, joe cortez should not be in a boxer vs brawler match up he screws the brawler over big time, every time maidana got inside or it was getting interesting he stepped in.

    on my card it mattered, I know on the judges khan still would have won a md, which is fair as well but this looks a lot better.

    I think it was more Khan out-boxing him for 9 rounds that cost him the fight.

    Even if the point wasn't deducted Khan won because of the knockdown. This one will be long debated like the Pac-Marquez fight for years to come if Khan progresses well. Maybe somewhere down the line they will have a re-match.
