Never been a fan of P4P rankings as they usually favor smaller fighters who ALL eventually move around in weight. If he does win however Adamek should get some kind of mention for making the biggest single division leap.

Yea Majewski did get dropped I think it was in the 1st round, but bounced right back and dominated and won the rest of the fight.

I would be intrested in Wawrzyks fights as well. I have heard that he is a decent up and comming HW. Would like to see more of him.

I hope your prediction is spot on. Only thing that worries me is Cunninghams big reach advantage.

Also, we have to keep in my that Adameks performance against Cunningham was not a true Adamek performance. He made no excuses for his loss, but it is known he was weight drained, and also sick prior to the fight. Even when Dawson wasnt attacking I remember Adamek just standing there and not doing much, hell he even seemed paler then usual. So I think this fight will be much different, and I think that the Dawson fight wrongly skewing lots of peoples perception of Adamek.

Nah it comes down to some people's pure hate.

When they want to tear somebody down they set there standards extremly high.....such as losing to Dawson a young big strong slick southpaw over 12 rounds in a Championship fight arguably the #1 fighter in the division and they make it sound like he lost to some random journeymen.....remember the same people predicting Bell to KO Adamek are the same one's now calling him shot.

So far he wasnt supposed to have any power at CW,he would be too small,he wouldnt be able to take a CW punch....he has proven all those things to be WRONG.

    Cunningham-Adamek presser!
IBF cruiserweight world champion Steve "USS" Cunningham and former world champion Tomasz Adamek foreshadowed their Dec. 11 meeting at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. at a press conference today at the one-year-old venue. "I work very hard because boxing is my job," Cunningham, from Philadelphia, said. "My goal is to be the greatest of all time. I know it's a lofty goal but I want to the best I possibly can be. I want Adamek to bring his best on December 11 in Newark. He's a family man like me but it's my job to put my hands on him and that's what I'm going to do. I'm a true world champion. I've fought in South Africa, Germany and in Poland, twice. I'm more popular in Europe than I am in America right now but that's about to change. I want to give the world a true cruiserweight world champion that will stay in the division and defend his titles for years to come."

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adamek, from Poland now living and training in Jersey City, N.J., says he will bring his vaunted right-hand punching power from light heavyweight to the 200-pound limit. "Steve's a nice guy but I'm going to beat him, Adamek, the IBF No. 1-ranked cruiserweight, said. "He's a world champion and I respect him but I will win. Steve's quick and dynamic. It will be a great fight. It made me weak to make 175 pounds against Chad Dawson and I was still able to knock him down. My right hand is bigger at cruiserweight. I'll be stronger and carry my punch to the 200-pound limit."
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The press conference was co-hosted by event promoters Don King Productions and Main Events. Both Don King and Kathy Duva, as well as New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame President Henry Hascup, spoke of the fact this marks the first time since Tony Zale and Rocky Graziano met in Newark for the third and final time in 1948 that a world championship boxing match has been staged in the city.

I like Adamek and Cunningham so I'm not thrilled about them fighting each other. I'm torn.

Adamek was the WBC champ at light heavy so why couldn't the WBC give him the title shot against Kraj and not the Italian guy Fraggomeni? If memory serves me correct Adamek made O'Neil Bell quit. The same O'Neil Bell who was 2 fights removed from being the undisputed cruiserweight champ. Frag did nothing to deserve the shot except give Haye a tough fight. He still lost. :-(

What do you guys think for Golota vs. Austin? Then Valuev if he beats Austin?

This might actually not be a bad idea for Golota. I think he has pretty good chances at beating both fighters. He has slowed tremendously, but neither of these two guys are exactly lightning quick, either.

If he does manage to pull it off, I would love to just see him retire right there in the ring, finally with a well deserved title in his hands. That would be a story book ending.

I do not think he fought last night. It wasn't aired and there's nothing on boxrec.

Did anyone catch the Poland v Slovakia game. What a heartbreaker....Slovaks score twice with several minutes left in the game to pull out an upset 2-1 victory. The first goal came about when Boruc fumbled the ball...minute later they score again on a rebound of a cross.....wow.
