Looks like the best Polish prospects right now are Proksa, Masternak and Kolodziej. Master is scheduled to fight in 3 weeks (no opponent yet). I'ld really like to see these guys step up their competition. Looks like so far Kolodziej has been fighting the better opponents of the bunch. They're all very young 23-25...it'll be interesting to see where they are in 2-3 years.
It was a good fight by Wlodarczyk, although early in the rounds at times I was somewhat frustrated by his hesitation to throw a bit more. Was a good, and exciting fight, though. Adamek team in talks with Holy. **** fight really. I know Adamek has had a tough past 4 months, but beating up on a 47 y.o isnt going to make him look good at all imo.
Agreed, i bet it was ziggy's idea. Also whats up with shields? i thought he was a friend to evander and now he'll train adamek to beat his ass? I dont like seeing old legends getting hurt, and thats what gonna happen here.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EchHpZoYPKo[/ame] cool recent interview with DRAGON. i really, really like Albert, its really hard not to like him. Real smart, intelligent, great shape, good workrate, just a overall awesome and cool guy.
Albert isn't a dummy, hes a pretty well educated and smart guy....Look at the way he talks, he talks like he could make some scientist's look dumb. If you get the physical gifts that Golota had, combined with Albert's mentality and intelligence, we could have one of the greatest HW fighters of all time. But seems like us Poles will always have somthing to worry about in the HW division... weather its a real good skilled, dumbass fighter like Golota, or a averaged skilled, smart and intellegent fighter like Sosnowski, we are always getting jew'ed in the HW's. But you must realize, this is gonna be the second Pole in history to get a crack at the World Heavyweight champion. One of the best HW's this past decade. Not everyday this type of thing happens, and even if most of you all happen to believe he is gonna lose, its history in our eyes that this kid is actually going out there and trying to win the title in the most prestigious and historical division, whilst representing Poland. I will be cheering for Albert in this fight, and i DO believe Albert has the mental, physical, and toughness to give him a slight chance in this fight. Im giving albert about 15-20%, coming from a real true Sosnowski fan ever scince 2005
Michael Grant is now being discussed as next opponent for Adamek: http://sport.onet.pl/boks/pogromca-andrzeja-goloty-rywalem-tomasza-adamka,1,3228654,wiadomosc.html What do you think? I have mixed feelings. On one hand, Grant is nobody and a win over him doesn't give Adamek anything. On the other hand, he fought already twice this year in new category, so I have no problem if he fights anyone as stay-busy fight. Another thing is that with his (Grant's) style and lack of defence the fight can be exciting as long as it last, and it would give Adamek some experience against much bigger opponent.
Better him than 50 year old holyfield. But from all these "stay busy" fights i think i would prefer the Mormeck fight the most.
Thats a good point. I wonder if that played a role in Team Adamek switching opponents. Other then Holy wanting 400k for the fight. They do, they look like the Bundys! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7vJaTrx3Bw&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
What have you **** heads have been doing while i was gone? Anyone watched the Diablo fight? I give Diablo a 8/10 as far as performance goes, but he could of DEFIANTLY gotten him out of there much earlier. I predicted a TKO 10 in the first fight, and I predicted a TKO 10 again in the rematch. This fight went exactly as it SHOULD of in the first fight. But now that he got that draw scratched out..... hes a top dog in the Cruiserweight once again. A WBC belt and a number 2 CW Ring Mag ranking. Steve Cunningham is first. Diablo already whipped that ass once, he could do it again. I actually think he actually has a good chance in knocking him out too. Steve didn't make those fights a clinchfest for shits and giggles you know....He did it for a reason. He knew Diablo has some serious power and a real good chin, so he tried to clinch a lot in his defence. Steve either 1. Underrated Adamek's power or 2. Couldn't make the fight a clinch fest due to Adamek's real good style to not make fights clinchfests, rather than exciting action packed fights. Diablo seriously has good skills, lol trust me. This guy, if he had a different mentality and fighting perspective, he could be better than Adamek, Golota and Michalczewski combined. Believe that. All these Polish Wlodarczyk haters ive been seeing, they are just that... Haters. They don't know the type of skill, power, toughness, and condition Diablo has. All these other CW's compared to Diablo, I belive Diablo has the ability to beat every one of them. He beaten Steve once already, and he did it pretty clearly..don't listen to the haters, he could defiantly do it again! Huck's wild style is perfect for Diablo. Huck got hurt a little bit by Brian Mintos bodyshots, and we know Diablo can throw some vicious body punches if he wants too. I belive Huck would get TKO'd around the 9th, vs. a mentally and fully 100% Wlodarczyk. Ross would get KO'd. Alexeev would get Decisioned on neutral grounds, as would Flores and Frenkel. Macca would also get KO'd, Hide, Branco, and Masternak too. I think the only Cruiserweight that I think has the best chance at beating Wlodarczyk is Denis Lebedev. Id actually favor Denis slightly. (this kid is the truth BTW folks) Can't wait to see how our boy Albert does in that title shot. Even if he loses, I don't care, just as long as he loses proudly.....which I think will be the case. I give Albert 15% chance.
haha, I had a feeling it was you once I saw the SN and avatar. Not many hardcore Diablo fans out there truth be spoken. Whatd you get banned? I saw the fight, and it was a pretty exciting one. I know Wlodarczyk is a tough, durable fighter. No doubt a risk for anyone in the division out there. The fight went well, but while watching it I was at times getting a bit frustrated, especially earlier on about Wlodarczyks reluctance to throw some more. Like you said if he did that he coulda ended the fight even sooner probably. All is well that ends well, though. I don't know if I hold him as high as you, though. Havent seen much of Lebedev at all, but I think Cunningham would outbox him in a decision again if it comes to that. Wlodarczyk I think is a bit too sluggish for Cunningham, and I think Cunningham would know the game plan well for the next fight. Sosnowski is no doubt ready for this, I mean he always comes in shape, but has some extra (little) body fat on him, but now? **** he even shed what little he had! So he will go out swinging hopefully, no doubt. I think he will lose TKO past 6, though.
Welll about Steve vs. Krzysztof, its kinda hard to compare who will win, cause really.....it all depends which Steve will show up or whitch Diablo will show up. Wlodarczyk-Cunningham is a pick em fight. Oh and Im giving Sosnowski 8 rounds. With round 1 him winning, and the rest pretty much him getting whiped lol. BUT! He wil lsoe in Pride....as all that matters to me! Go Albert! Best of Luck!
Its not only about mentality, I think that Diablo's mentality is pretty well. Adamek is much smarter guy in the ring, he always knows what to do and fits to different opponents. If they had fought in the CW division 1 year back, Adamek would have outboxed Diablo. Diablo is a puncher and Adamek proved that he can negate punchers in the ring. No disrespect for Diablo, he is a very good fighter, to me clearly no2 in the CW division.
You really think so? Cause I think opposite. What he did to Fragomeni just recently, he should of done a year ago already....Diablo's mentality failed him in the first fight cause he was under so much mental pressure, especially being the fight was in Rome. Adamek goes to anyones backyard and he will be motivated mentally.... the hometown advantage don't bother him one bit! Can't say the same for Diablo anymore tho....hes fought the majority of his career in Poland. Well at least he got back into it tho, and against a older Fragomeni so it was a good learning experience for the still young Krzysiek! When you look at Diablos record when fighting outside of Poland its... 2 wins(Rossitto,Blakley) 1 loss (Melkomman), and 1 draw (Frago) As you can see he doesnt as often fight abroad as Adamek did/does, so Adamek is used to fighting in backyards and signing ballsy fights that lots of people claimed he never had a chance in. Diablo's problem was when he took that break from Boxing and descided to do some gay Dancing with the Stars show and wasting his time doing other non boxing related things. If he would of been training during his fightless whole year prior to fighting Frago, he could of maybe done a better job but Diablo's head in the game isn't quite there! A guy like Gmitruk would be wonders for Krzysztof, I think Diablo should leave Lapin and get some other BKP trainer or w/e cause he could be way better than he is right now. Diablo isn't a puncher, hes a techniczny puncher :yep Every thing he does in the ring for him is pure technique and power..... Hes not using too much of heart or speed, or out strengthening the opponent, or any good style or rhythm... When he gets to the ring its all pretty much technical punching. I mean don't get me wrong, hes a good technical puncher, but if he combines his superb crisp punching with some fast combinations, taking some risks, and showing that he can go at it, he could probably have finished a lot of his fights much earlier cause Diablo has some really good power too. Thats why I think Diablo is a underachiever in todays Polish Boxing. Diablo can be so much better than what he is right now. Krzysztof WBC Champion Wlodarczyk is comming to yo streets!!!!!! :d
