"Friday Night Havoc in Huntington: Pawel Wolak Earns IBA Americas Middleweight Honors
    By Russ Greenspan (At Ringside)-September 15, 2007

Friday night, Melville, New York’s Huntington Hilton Hotel played host to an exciting nine bout card featuring predominately local talent, highlighted by a co-featured pair of ring wars that had the capacity crowd on its feet throughout. In the evening’s main event, hard charging Polish prospect Pawel “Raging Bull” Wolak, defeated late sub “Flawless” Dan Wallace for the vacant IBA Americas Middleweight Title, stopping him by TKO at 2:10 of round number four. Wallace accepted the Wolak fight on short notice after Pawel’s initially scheduled foe Billy Lyell fell through, but nonetheless arrived looking determined and combat ready. In the opening stanza, both men quickly endeavored to assert control, with Wallace using a stiff jab and movement, and Wolak relying on face first aggression and continuous pressure.

Although Wallace hung tough during the bout’s action packed initial nine minutes, Wolak’s purposeful body attack had his lanky foe breathing heavily as the bell rang for the fourth. The two men resolutely left their stools and labored hard to execute their respective game plans, but Wolak soon forcefully took charge, backed Wallace against the ropes, and began firing combinations. After a series of well placed shots that looked terrific but appeared to do no serious damage, Referee Tony Chiarantano inexplicably stepped between the antagonists and halted the action, leaving Wallace infuriated, and Wolak’s legions of banner toting followers thrilled beyond measure. Wolak’s victory keeps him undefeated at 17-0, 12 KO’s, while the game Wallace falls to 9-2, 3 KO’s."

Am I too late to join this, then? As a semi-pole I thought I should probably join in with the rampant patriotism you guys seem so fond of.

Excellent. I've got the blood, but can't speak a word of the language so don't expect too much from me.

Does membership just entail pulling for any Polish fighter regardless of the fight? If so, I think I can cope.

You have to go out and snuff at least 1 German!

Membership? This is just a simple English speaking support base for Polish fighters that have a chance to do something Worldwide.

Your non-speaking of Polish is why we are here!!
