    Six world title belts will be on the line when unbeaten WIBF/GBU super welterweight champion Karolina Lukasik (9-0, 1 KO) faces WBC/WBA/IWBF/WIBA champion Jisselle Salandy (15-0, 6 KOs) on Saturday bight at the Jean Pierre Complex in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. Lukasik, who fights under the Spotlight Boxing banner, made the long trek to the Caribbean with trainer Conny Mittermeier. "Her ambition is truly enormous," says Mittermeier. "Every now and then I have to stop her, so she doesn't overtrain. Karolina isn't a brawler, like Susi Kentikian, for example. Karolina is an excellent technician, who boxes with her head!"

    Wow, George Foreman is in my hometown in Poland!!

    Słynny amerykański bokser George Foreman potwierdził przyjazd do Polski. Jedenastego października ma spotkać się w Stalowej Woli ze swym dawnym rywalem Lucjanem Trelą. Do ich walki doszło 40 lat temu podczas igrzysk w Meksyku.

    "George Foreman potwierdził, że przyjedzie do Polski na spotkanie z Lucjanem Trelą. Dwudziestego pierwszego kwietnia delegacja organizatorów poleci do Stanów Zjednoczonych, aby na miejscu z Foremanem ustalić wszelkie szczegóły jego październikowej wizyty" - powiedział Tomasz Babiloński, który jest w sztabie przygotowującym galę.

    Spotkanie po latach Treli i Foremana będzie połączone z obchodami 85-lecia Polskiego Związku Bokserskiego (PZB) oraz galą pięściarską.

    W 1968 roku na olimpiadzie w Meksyku Trela przegrał w eliminacjach po zaciętej walce z Foremanem, który sięgnął po złoty medal IO. Później Amerykanin święcił sukcesy na zawodowych ringach w wadze ciężkiej.

    That fight will be in Ireland. After that I hope he comes back to fight in the USA. Time to step up!

    Proksa's fight is supposed to be a warmup/tuneup fight before coming to the US.

    Lukasik lost....i thought she stopped fighting and started playing poker a long time ago.

    My mom and dad have mentioned the Trela before.They say he was a colrful type fighter.Interested to see some pics of him and Foreman in Poland.

    Proksa and Adamek coming up....can't wait.

    It was Rylik, not Łukasik. Łukasik is fighting frequently and there are some rumours that it was a home decision. (The fight took place in Trinidad and Tobago - homeland of Salandy). Universum will probably appeal from the decision
