He looked like he didn't take that fight too seriously and still he won every round.

I feel that this fight will truly be Adamek's first test at cruiserweight as Bell had taken too much punishment over the years and was a spent force. Bell had already been in tough fights before winning the titles. Life as a champion only got harder as he struggled with Brown, Rothmann, and had 2 brutal fights with Mormeck. Throw in the hatchet incident with his sparring partner and retiring on his stool against Tomasz and you've got an unstable fighter who may have taken too many punches.

I'm really split on this fight as Cunningham has one of those negative styles that gives opponent's fits. Adamek's class can shine through but there have been times in which you wonder where all his amateur pedigree and fundamentals have gone. Take the Briggs rematch for example, too many right hands for a guy of Adamek's class to take. Dawson took Adamek to school but I think that was more of a style thing. Adamek didn't have to look for his opponents up until that point and suddenly he was in with the speedy and talented Dawson and struggled.

This is a pick 'em fight for me and as I've said before I'm not too thrilled about it taking place as I am a big fan of both fighters. I'd have much rathered to have seen Adamek get the chance at Kraj instead of Fraggomeni. The latter had no right to a title fight. He got it based on a gusty effort against Haye. If you're gonna give title shots out based on gutsy efforts than I got a whole list of guys who deserve one. You know, the guys who Jim Lampley had wished were rescued by their corners.

One question? There are so many USS haters on here. After the fight no matter how it goes and Cunningham wins the fight. Will there be some respect thrown his way? Or will the Polish community still come up with exuses?:?

I think if you look, most of the haters are not Polish.

    The ****!?!

Man, if Cunningham happens to win, ill respect him as much as i do now. Even more.

Hes good fighter. A good personality, hes a great example of a American boxer persona should be.

This guy goes to Polish parades, cheers Wlodarczyk in a TV show, acts all cool in all Polish interviews, and everything. I mean, what other American boxer would go to their opponents own country parade and have a fun time? I mean for ****s sake he was probably the only black guy there

This aint no Klitschko vs Peter snatching the belt ****, these guy respect each other.

I actually respect this guy than most American fighters.

Cunningham is a real nice guy, and as you know I wont be cheering for him, but ill always respect him for being a cool guy and also beating one of my other favoirite boxers in Wlodarczyk.

No matter what, if Cunningham would win the fight, ill give him props fair and square. The Polish community here on ESB dont give excuses, and I can speak for them and i trust that they wont. :good

I am rooting for Steve here in what should be a great fight. What makes it better is that it is for free. I have great respect for both fighters in this fight.

Adamek doesn't match up well with Cunningham. I think Cunningham will win a comfortable decision. I'll be pulling for Adamek because I find him to be a more exciting fighter to watch but I see Cunningham by decision.

Yeah, we're on different planets with this one... The guy you're describing is not Steve Cunningham.

People talk a lot about each fighter's lateral movement, speed, and outside game, but I wonder: how Adamek will do against Steve in the clinch?

Not much he can do when Steve decides to be sticky.Remember his overclinching lost him the first Wlodarczyk fight. If he does it again it's a sign of weakness(giving into Adamek's style)and may cost him the fight.

When Adamek get's cracked he looks to immediatly retaliate while Steve looks to either run or grab.

With the inactivity of Cuningham, well Adamek have a great chance, i hope he wins not because i'm a fan of Adamek but because he is a more active fighter and maybe he can fight more, because he can fight in Europe and not depend entirely on Don "you are screw if you sing with him" King.

Right, but with Wlod--even in the rematch--what I saw was a jab or 1-2 from USS, and then a clinch, and Wlod was too frustrated to fight back on the inside. He'd occasionally lunge in with a right to the head, but it had no effect because Cunn was stuck to him like white on rice.

In that case, you need short clipping shots, mainly to the body, to score effectively inside the clinch. I wonder if Adamek is capable of a sustained attack like this (he's never really had to work that way, outside of the Dawson fight, where he refused to and ultimately fell short).

Btw, I scored that first fight for Wlodarczyk, 115-113. Second fight was a clear Cunningham victory though, and definitely more exciting...one day I'd like to see a rubbermatch.
