Bottom line, whoever's to blame, it's looking less likely to happen then ever and for that everyone deserves the blame and massive disappointment is my overriding emotion.

This really should've happened and it's desperately sad each time it looks less likely.

I can only hope, like Lewis-Holyfield, in the end it becomes too irresistable to ignore doing and outside pressures force it to happen.

You should probably add Booth to that list. Even though boxing promotion is not exactly a transparent business, the number of negative comments regarding Booth from rival promoters is concerning. Altho Warren has a natural disliking of Haye and Booth, it is interesting to hear him say with regard to DeGale-Groves,

"Booth told me on a number of occasions that DeGale-Groves was close to being done. But then he'd go on the missing list for days at a time. He'd claim he'd been in meetings - he must be a busier man than a one-armed Bangkok taxi driver in the rush hour with nits.

If Groves is truly up for it, he should tell his team to pull their fingers out and sign a contract."

Its too early for DeGale-Groves anyway, but Booth being trainer/busniess manager/promoter isn't working when it comes to getting fights on. Warren has vested interests, but this wouldn't be the first time Booth has led rival promoters up the garden path to the wrong door. The Klitschkos are also control freaks but given Booth's previous form you'd have to say himself and Haye are not looking too trustworthy at the mo.

I think Hayes shitting himself... I think he knows his limitations and would rather save himself the beating and retire with his ego in tact

Haye doesn't want to fight Vitali.
Wladimir doesn't want to fight Haye.

As long as both of those situations continue, we'll go nowhere.

Was watching the Martinez-Pavlik fight last night where he goes on about Martinez's left hand being a show punch with nothing in it. :yep

 

Both without a doubt, they have both been pedantic in the negotiations, clearly thinking about the money first, and both have a professional fear of each other. They know that they could derail each other in a brutal fight, or lose and don't want to lose their pay checks.

The way boxing is organised, allows the fighter who gets to the top of the mountain to dictate how and when he fights which in turns create a messy dictatorship of division. Think about it from Wlad and Haye perspective, both men are/have gotten away with fighting the likes of Chisora, and Harrison in defending there heavyweight belts. Neither man is in the top 20 in division and yet they both face the top tier fighters....look at Vitali, he has gotten away with fighting Sownoski, Johnson and a way past it Briggs.

Judging by the current rankings of each orginsation and the way in which all 3 fighters have been going about there business.

David Haye could easily get away with this-
