I am starting to believe Rocky IV wasn't so far from the truth.

In the vid below, Gina Carano can generate almost 1000 pounds.
I remember that some studies were done on boxers' punching power.
Tyson's power was measured as they were in the process of creating a video game on him (not sure which one, couldn't find the page again - but I remember having read detailed info on this matter).
Tyson, Foreman, Shavers, ... how much power can they really generate? :yep

Gina Carano is the only girl that could kick my ass and give me a woody at the same time, she's so fine.

Have you seen the vid of her weighing in naked, covered in towels, but one guy dropped a towel. I still don't understand how I could not see nothing on film. :-( She's really attractive.

Professional boxers hit incredibly hard. Even 30% KO ratio guys would knock the block of most decent amateurs.

Yes. Anything from fringe contender and up. By the way, i didn't mean "amateur" in a derogatory way; in fact, most amateurs are very skilled, but that goes to show you how strong the statement was. I did some padwork with a 38 year old, retired Raymond Joval, who has a modest KO%, but he hits ****ing hard.

doesnt need to be a top pro, no.

when you make a jump in boxing from juniors to amateurs or amateurs to pro (a jump i never tried by the way), it forces you to improve and any good coach will get you sparring with these guys before you meet them in competition.

its easy to see the difference in speed and skill, so when i got to spar with a pro (which i did a few times - i was a good amateur) it did me so much good.

its not so much about the power that they have IF they arent big pro punchers, its more about the speed and timing that you're not use to.
