PPV ain't **** without Michael Buffer. No way to prove that most people don't subconciously hit the order button because of Buffer. He is the only constant and has generated more than any fighter in terms of numbers. Since he said Floyd is safer in Jail than fighting Manny they should put a loss down in Floyd's record.

It depends on how you look at it.

Oscar did 12.6 million buys in 18 events. Tyson did 12.4 million buys in 12 events.

Ocscar did $610 million and Tyson $545 million.

Holyfield ties Tyson in buys at 12.4 million, but only did $543 million in 14 events.

As a per event, Tyson is better than Oscar.

You can find much of the PVP buys at this link.

I'm not talking about all-time and comparing him with Tyson. I'm comparing him relative to right now and all the bitching and whining fans on both sides are making on a potential split.

    This is my point.

DLH being a lighter weight fighter and drawing the numbers that he did makes him the PPV king in my book. The Golden Boy is apt.

We are in a recession when these numbers are adjusted down the road they will baffle people in 2040 if the Earth is still here.

It helps that floyd had a US olympic pedigree. Pac had to come up blasting tomato cans into oblivion, taking a flew losses in the process. (prior to fighting the mexican trio)

    Over how many fights?

Tyson fought infrequently towards the end of his career and he was fighting less than stellar opposition towards the end.

Oscar win lose or draw was in high profile fights until the very end.
