physically hamed was still in his prime, that can't be argued. but he had booted out his long time mentor and trainer ingle, hired steward who was just so wrong for naz, he had got power happy, his ego got the better of him, and he thought he could blast barrera out. naz was on the decline for some time, he was always an egotistical little twat, but at least under ingle he put in the hard yards. for the record i don't think any version of naz ever beats MAB. pacman though gets raped by the prince.
there was no hunger left to fight. he was the greatest in his own mind, and was rolling in £££££. although the MAB fight hurt him, the footage of him in his dressing room after that fight is of a broken man, even though he didn't have many devoted fans cause of his attitude, i was one of them, and felt bad for him.
Just to clarify. I don't think Naz is an atg (just fell short for many of the reasons mentioned in this thread) and I doubt wether even at his best he'd beat Mab or JMM. Morales or Pacquiao would be tough ones to pick however.
you seem to base your analysis on that MAB defeat..JMM i think wont beat NAZ because he doesnt have the heart that MAB has..MAB is a passionate fighter, a technical and dirty one..which is not JMM's style. Naz wasnt able to intimidate MAB and thats why he lost. JMM on the other hand does not have the passion MAB has, he fights because he needs to, thats his profession..while he may be good at it he might have been overwhelmed by Naz. Morales and PAC are similar somewhat, but i still dont think its that easy to predict. its still an even match if it happened.
Fair enough. Although, for the record, I think Pacquiao would beat him handily and I think Morales would have a helluva chance.
