Tournament's are good when they contain world class fighter's and mean something.

There's been some legendary tournaments in MMA and true champions crowned.

Prizefighter just does'nt do it for me.

Now if they did one with the likes of Khan, Thaxton and Murray etc in that meant something, then i'd be interested! :good

yh no draws but renda what guts!! thats why i love boxing when i see a guy going all guns blazing. let them two go at it now in a 10 rounder but i go for murray just thought he picked his shots and had more quality but i can see if people had renda winning. good luck to both them guys they had me beating my chest there for a brief moment.

Yeah i think you have a valid point there, it should only happen once or twice a year in my opinion.

i don't quite get the scoring. how can renda have scored 29 points when he would have only got 8 points in R1? unless the judge thought he won that round and scored it 9 - 9...?

    anyway, good final...the best yet?

yes imo the best. but agree with you lads it's got to stop now it's to often and they need to take care with there fighters picks but think from a good british prospects point of view why go on there get dragged into a slug and tarnish your record so i presume that a lot of decent fighters have gone no thanks. i like that murray though nice fighter.

I do like the set up of the Prizefighter series, i have enjoyed everyone i have bothered to watch.

I think the series could acutally be more successful than it actually is, it could turn into a very mainstream attraction, as it does seem to have some appeal with the public.

I do however think it lacks glamour, I read the other day that this is Hearns response to the UFC...? Well, nah Baz it just aint.

It could be a lot more glamorous, they have the same type of tourney in K1 in Japan and it draws massive crowds but more importantly attracts fighters with a recognizable names.

I think the tourney would be better if there was more money on the table, a bigger arena (York Hall is the home of Brit Boxing, but it is more gritty than glamour...), and bigger names.

For example a heavyweight tourney, set in a place like Wembley Conference Centre (why sint there any more boxing there?), with a large sum of money up for grabs, but includes guys like Williams, Sprott, Skelton and Audley or maybe a sprinkling of borderline contenders like McCline, Barret, Sam etc, or even some old timers like Botha and McCall, they maybe old but these are 3 round bouts which is a great equaliser.

Im enjoying the series as it is, but it would be bigger and better.
