Ward's best weapon would be to use his head

    Actually thats a must imo.

Agnew managed to open up two big cuts on kovalev butting like a ram.

Ward may need to open one up and get a Ref stoppage ofc it will be scored as a punch. :bart

Because Ward is sharper, younger, more athletic, faster, stronger, and WILL find openings. Hopkins went the distance, Chilemba went the distance. And neither of them box as well as Ward.

    This.

A fighter is most vulnerable when he switches to offense. There is always an opening there. Hopkins wasn't going for any offense, he gave up on winning after first KD and went to survival mode. It is extremely difficult to knock someone out when they open up for no risk. Especially someone as slick as Hopkins.

However, Andre can out point Kovalev. He will have to do two things to beat Kovalev:

Fight on the outside using quick feet and hands for 1-2 combos. But he can't do that for 12 rounds obviously. When not on the outside he will have to use his Roughhousing skills which are EXTREMELY good. Kovalev will have Andre's forearms on his face and neck entire night. Mark my words on this. Ward will be pushing off and scoring points from here. Ward can not stay in mid range with Kovalev. It'll be a combination of outside work with inside Roughhousing.

Kovalev and Jackson will have to come up with a game plan to not allow Andre to get inside and play dirty. He will have to back up and push him off as Ward comes in for a clinch.

Gennady is extremely good at preventing others tie him up. Watch the rosado fight and you'll see. This is what kova needs to do.

Cant wait to see Beterbiev vs Kovalev. All this Kovalev hype will soon end and his KKK ovalovers will disappear like the glory supporters they really are.

I think a lot of Kovalevs danger comes from his motivation from what ive observed. If the fight motivates him as he dislikes his opponent or feels they have disrespected him, he comes dangerous, if it motivates him because its a massive fight for his life/career, he also brings his A game ( ie Cleverly, where he knew dominating would introduce him to the world stage, and the following fights as his momentum and popularity grew. I feel his good but not normal aggressive performance against chilemba was simply due to him not being annoyed or disrespected or disliking chilemba, but also as the fight was fairly tame in its buildup and popularity to some of his other high profile high stake fights. I think though the huge gravity of the Ward fight will bring out the best and most aggressive Kovalev, probably nothing like vs Isaac.
