if you're carrying too much weight, you aren't in shape. How much more mobile would arreola be if he was around 220?

No one gives a **** if he's ripped like a greek god, just that he comes in looking like he's a ****ing athlete.

There is NO way he's a better fighter carrying 20-30 pounds of sheer blubber around, than if he ate right and showed discipline. Of course he's still in better condition stamina wise than a large percentage of the general population, but he's hurting his chances of ever becoming the best fighter he could be.

THIS is why people criticize him.

what you dont understand is that is a contradiction in terms

hes a fat disgrace. hes supposed to be a professional athlete and all this **** about being fat but in shape is bollocks. you may be able to last it but you are nowhere near your ideal level of fitness. i guess according to your thinking thats why so many all time great fighters were lard asses and why so many track and field athletes or swimmers have in the words of david haye "the body fat ratio of a pork scratching"

15 years ago there was about 15/20 guys who would have handed arreola the big fat cry baby his fat ass back to him

What a ****ing joke. No one who isn't in shape goes 10 with Vitali. To think otherwise means your ******ed.

It's a cultural problem that goes way beyond him, but I don't think James Toney helped it any. Arreola thinks that sparring and hitting the bag is good enough to replace true conditioning. And he may be right against the Minto's of the world. But it's going cost him every time he takes a real step up in class.

What these fat asses don't remember is that James Toney wouldn't have beaten Michael Nunn carrying a spare tire around. Holding up a former middleweight with a complete old school skillset as your excuse for not eating right is a joke.

Why the **** are people on his jock about being fat...if he's ****in' fat then he's ****in' fat. As long as he's winning and slimming his body down...which he is.

If you hadn't noticed, he truly IS making an effort to slim down. He already said he wants to be in the gym as soon as possible. Which means he doesn't wanna give himself enough time to blow up. He's also losing his titties and getting a bit stronger. He looked in much better shape than the Vitali fight.

Everyone just needs to calm the **** down and just watch his body slim down to a HW physique. I'm willing to bet he's gonna weigh even more in the next fight, but look better than the Minto fight.
