Let me get this clear, I like the kid, great fighter, will take on anybody, but whats the state of play with his nationality. Theres all sorts that come out of his camp stating that he feels undervalued in by the british public, that he's happier fighting in america, problems with sky sports contracts, I get the feeling that he doesn't appreciate the brittish public at all, yet i get the feeling that he's happy to milk the british public for as much as he can get.

whats the state of play with Amir Khan? I read today on sky sports that he's wanting to fight mayweather at wembley stadium (90,000) to generate millions for himself. Does he appreciate British fans or does he just see ££££££ signs?

He's a nice enough kid...but of course he's a typical pro fighter who's out to make as many millions as poss and then get out once he's past his sell by date.

the problem is that like you say he's happy to milk the british public for as much as he can get but he isn't getting much.

meanwhile in America HBO is on his dick and he is touted as a rising superstar.

As a British fight fan I get confused with him, I get the feeling he dislikes the Brits but he's happy to milk millions out of them supporting him. Obviously his HBO contract means loads to him but if he were to lose again, I imagine he would be back trying to sweet talk the British market? I'm not sure of his sincerity or loyalty.

Trust me it's nothing to do with the britsh public,he's got huge support in the UK.It's purely down to money.

He likes his fans in the UK, but he also has some haters, they are the people he doesn't like. I think its as simple as that really. It just seems there are more people who dislike Khan in the UK, because more people know him here.

Do you think that comes from a racism angle in Britain or because brits don't like cocky fighters who do well as amateurs like Harrison and Degale?

How is khan cocky? i never really understood this, the guy is always gracious and respectful to his opponents. Yes he has ambitions but he never acts cocky imo just wants to be the best. Hes seems very respectful imo.

If that was the case, why wouldn't he just fight in uk solely to milk the british fans rather than going to america?

He also does alot of charity work built boxing gym in bolton costing 700k or something like that for youth.

TBH you sound like abit of hater, am not a huge fan of khan but hes probably the most respectful popular british boxer today. Carl froch talks alot of **** these days aswell about this opponents in a douchebag way but people don't seem to bring that up. Dvid haye well i dont need to even talk about him.

Well there will be some racists. Maybe its because casual boxing fans think he's done it the easy way, getting money early and all. He's not the same as Degale and Harrison, people don't like them because they're cocky and don't back it up, before the Groves fight many people liked Degale, and if he won against Groves, he would still be liked.

I don't know why some don't like Khan, could be because he got so much attention at a young age that people just got sick of him, and he is prone to saying silly things - even though he doesn't mean to. And you don't really see him with his fans, he does a lot of charity work, which for some reason he doesn't get as much credit for as he should, whereas Hatton was with fans a lot and people appreciate that. If he gets back on Sky, and supports fellow British fighters more, then his popularity will increase.

Also he does seem quite dull, so people are less likely to get excited about him, I'm sure if he was funny, people would love him.

maybe he wants the best of both worlds, wants the huge British PPV market and fan base but wants the HBO money as well. I get the feeling that his favourite 2 countries are ****stan and America but he wants to use Britain because he knows thats were he can milk most money from.

TBH i think its in your head mate, out of todays british boxers, khan the only one who done a considerable amountof charity work and built gym for youths for 700k if thats not showing your appreciation i dont know what is.

I haven't seen carl froch do anything like that. Ricky hatton has made so much money from his british fans and he shows no appreciation what so ever i cant beleive the pacman fight he got me so excited then just got his cheque and left. Hatton has milked the british fans quite badly and hasn't performed at the level he promised to do which he promised twice with so much confidence kinda fooled the british fans really.

I like ricky am just pointing him out to point out your unconscious hate towards khan for no reason.

I think people like Froch is because he seems like an intelligient guy, and he fights like a warrior, something Brits like. David Haye was liked because he was funny, now he's lost and the toe excuse people don't like him. Whereas with Khan, I think people still see him as a kid, not as a man, so people are less likely to get behind him, so when he bigs himself up, people see him as a cocky kid, instead of a confident man.
