If he wins, he continues to fight and gets more brain damage.

So do you root for him to win and get one more title, knowing this?

Im conflicted. I know (at least I think I know) if he loses that he will at least retire and move on. I would like that very much.

Best case scenario... He wins AND retires. But come on, he is a boxer.

I hope he wins it...more exposure for hw boxing in the US - Holy will have to go to every damn late show, morning show, launch show because of this great accomplishment.

Americans woud give more attention to boxing than they do at the moment.

And W. Klitschko would have his springboard of being a real sport superstar in the US. In saying this I mean: If Holyfield wants to take (win tomorrow), he has to give (fight vs. Wlad). And finally we would have a real (I mean recognized worldwide) heavyweight world champion. And whom will you thank??? - right, Commander Vander...

    11 kids?

Man that was back in the 80´s when Evander was a firm believer in birth control. The 90´s are when he became prolific.

As good as he was for the sport on the past 2 decades - I see how someone could root for him to win.

But when you start thinking about age - skill levels - quickness - and things like that - do you really think Holy has enough to pull this one out? I don't.

Yeah - I would LIKE to see him win - but I just don't see it happening - so I'm going with my the other guy.

Today and tomorrow I'll cast out the Devils in your mind acb. You will be perfect. Fear not for the Future cause it has taken root in the present and the past - Look upon this moment and rejoice with great gladness, I'll pray for all of us. We'll look for Evander and God will look for all of us!

For $35 - I just might buy this fight. The fight airs at 1pm - it's going to feel funny watching a live show in the afternoon.

Question for the elder American posters here: I think you were used to watching fights around this time somewhat 20 to 30 years ago - does this make you feel a bit sentimental?

Those fights were free. I bet that makes more people sentimental.

Holyfields the last great heavywieght still boxing today, the heavywieght division is in shambles and Holyfields the only boxer that commands PPV like numbers. Evander is great for heavywieght boxing and his name still appeals to the average fan, hes the only heavywieght pay attention to.
