There are 2 at 160, 168 and 175. Charlo, Andrade, Benavidez, Plant, Bivol and Beterbiev.
None of them have fought each other, does no one else have a problem with this? Thats why Canelo cant get a super fight cause these guys just sit around crying for a Canelo payday and fight bum after bum not risking a loss.

Yup, biggest problem in boxing right now. Things were better before the ODLH days, which were alright. Really made a turn for the worst with Mayweather. I don't blame any of the top cash cows, but the structure sucks, because everyone else is waiting for that pay day. Promoters really need to do a better job with promoting everyone else and making sure they get decent pay days as well.

Reminiscent of the Wladimir era at heavyweight.

Agreed. No one wants to risk losing because they might lose their place in line for a Canelo payday.

Speaking of payday...... From Canelo's perspective, his best payday would probably come from a third fight with GGG.

Yes, but AFTER defeating Plant, and GGG comes up to 168. That would mean the winner would be undisputed SMW and that adds a lot of gravitas to the match.

This is also why they have no leverage in negotiations, no chance of being the winner of a close decision, and why they will probably put up disappointing performances.

Canelo ought to toss in a little purse sweetener for these guys to fight each other and reap dividends when his opponent brings their own fanbase.

The sad fact is he might make more with Jake Paul, ODLH, or a Mayweather rematch.

They're all a waste of time except Beterbiev for the joy of watching Canelo crushed. But you can tell when Canelo is worried about an opponent because he at least initially dodges them so he can age them or ''upgrade'' himself to prepare. This happened with GGG and he has dodged Beterbiev at 175 once already. So the only way I see him fighting Beterbiev is if he handicaps Beterbiev enough to make it an option.

Canelo has been dodging GGG for years now, despite the fact it's the biggest fight, simply because he took his ball and went home knowing the threat GGG poses. He's so utterly fake, acting like GGG was an easy job but then not wanting to try to clearly win a series with him (even just get a genuine win). But let's not forget Canelo pretended he clearly won the first fight, that's how dishonest he actually is.

Golovkin is still the most competitive realistic fight to make and the fact Canelo keeps obstructing it means he knows that too.

True, And if Canelo fights Beterbiev and beats him people in here won't give credit since his almost 36 year old...

Interesting opinion. You think all these are so poor that need to cry? LOL.
If about Beterbiev, until he turned 36 y.o no one from so called " good boxers " did not had real! intent to fight with him. 1 expect in Gvozdyk. All these talks how bad he is were just casual noise.
Now? Okey, Beterbiev is 36 y.o, looks that slowed down and might now be assumed as easier beatable target.
Beterbiev beat hard for LHW boxer while Plant not that hard for SMW boxer.
Plant fight might be also more lucrative for Canelo than Beterbiev fight for legacy reasons.
Plant does have belt at SMW division and if Canelo will beat Plant, he will be Undisputed at SMW division. With 1 fight, while even if we assume that he will beat everyone at LHW ( I know Canelo fans think that he will easily beat all LHW boxers ) he will not be undisputed with only 1 or 2 fights.

SMW: Canelo today does have 3 belts and if he will beat Plant, he will be undisputed at SMW.

Canelo doesn't need a 36 year old Beterbiev for legacy ? 1.because he won't get credit, second because he doesn't need Beterbiev as much as Beterbiev needs Canelo, Why hasn't Beterbiev moved up in weight ? Challenge himself to be great?? I mean Canelo started at 147, so why a former ww needs a LHW to be great??

Beterbiev won't get much credit if he beats Canelo though, unless Canelo beats Bivol and Smith Jr first. Otherwise we say LHW was too big after all.

But he will get the payday and I expect he wants that.

I am very confused. GGG is the only fight left for Canelo below 175. That is it.

If Canelo beats G in the trilogy he is a gilded ATG P4P period.

I would say that is because Beterbiev is not a roid cheat. Also, clenelo statred fighting at 17 and has grown, with the added help of roids, into a 168lber. Beterbiev is fully mature, has been for many years already. Tougher for him to move up at this point.

GGG battered him twice. Wouldnt like to see a 3rd fight now as Gennady's beyond shot. Only fight out there now is Beterbiev. Remains to be seen whether Clen's roids and cement give him the confidence to take it now or he waits until it's clear Artur's shot
