Yes it has. Manny and Roach clearly want the fight, they are already goading floyd. but floyd is already lining up his many excuses and reasons to avoid Pacquiao - the money split, Pac's losses, floyd beat Oscar and Hatton first and more impressively, it's not about bragging rights, etc.

then you got Ellerbe out there insisting that floyd must make more money than Pacquiao - if they fight. everyone knows it has to be 50-50 but floyd is setting himself up for the duck of all ducks.

it's common sense that Pacquiao has the style and speed and ferocity to cause floyd major problems, and possibly brutally knock him out. as we all know by now, floyd does not agree to fights where he can get KOed or lose. he only handpicks fights where he knows he will win over an outmatched opponent who has glaring flaws or vulnerabilities. Young strong vicious hungry and confident opponents are always dodged by floyd who makes a multitude of reasons and excuses to duck them, as he did with Cotto, Margarito, Mosley. and it's exactly the same pattern again now with Pacquiao.

Sadly, HBO will step up and protect floyd, and will not press or force him to fight Pacquiao in the fight everyone wants to see.

floyd is an absolute disgrace to boxing, HBO is selling a fraud, and this BS could have long term residiual effects on the integrity of the sport, where the public will lose confidence that boxing is not about the best facing the best anymore, it's about handpicking the safest lowest risk opponents (smart business decisions) to preserve an undefeated record.

Chad Dawson is doing exactly what floyd is doing, ducking the riskiest fights by ducking Diaconu and now Cloud to fight 40 yr olds. Berto is doing it also. Boxing will probably survive this garbage but it may never again be the same great sport we know and love, as we know it. Imagine if the floyd mayweather handpicking/ ducking mentality becomes the universal way most champions run their careers.

The same public, pre-fight negotiating **** happens frequently.

They'll fight in December. Just wait and be patient.

But its OK that Pac says that he has to make more money?? I just love the way that people like you always seem to point out something that one fighter does then bash the **** out of him for it while making excuses for another fighter that is doing the same thing. Both guys are saying that the fight isnt going to happen unless they get the larger share, but you only call out floyd for it???

Lets see..Pac wants Floyd to come down in weight? But was more than willing to fight Oscar at 147? Pac just fought Floyds last two opponents...So that means they were picked by Pac for the same reasons you cliam they were picked for Floyd..Mayweather is getting 15 mil to fight JMM..Pac got 12 for Hatton..Do the math..Mayweather Has been paid more for all three common opponents that they share..And you think he is going to give Pac a even slice plus come down in weight? Pac's demands are way off base..If Pac thinks he can make more money facing some one else..Lets see him do it..Its not at 140..I'll tell you that..Not one fighter at 140 is being considred..You know why? Not enough money pal...Pay attention....:deal

Don' t bother trying to be rational with mayweather haters. They are completely biased and closed minded. No matter what Mayweather says or does they will always come up with ridiculous reasons to bash him and try to discredit him but it doesn't change the fact that he is the best fighter of this generation! The true P4P is back!

Oh yeah and Arum also just stated that Pac cant fight Floyd in his next fight because Floyd wont be ready to fight by then..I just love the way that Arum can answer for floyd. This thing is a big joke.

I know a lot of floyd fans are going to come on and argue against this but I have to say you are completely correct about the way this sport is heading. If the best do not fight the best at the times when they should be fighting them then this sport will eventually start to fade into the background on a mainstream level and people will just become fed up with the politics and turn to other sports. Good post though man. I would not argue against this even if I was a Floyd fan because if floyd fans step back for a minute floyd is afraid to test himself against a true challenge and he will continue to avoid the best until he retires for good. It is a waste of a talent and a career if you ask me because he could elevate himself to a higher level if only he took a risk at this stage of his career. If he doesn't fight pac or mosley or cotto or williams, he is a disgrace to the sport.

Asking Floyd to go down to 140 is not really an issue but Floyd is too ***** to go down in weight. Floyd has a small body frame. What I believe is unfair asking Mosley to fight Pacquiao at 142. If they want to fight Mosley it should be a 147 or at a catch weight at 145. in between 147 and 140. That's fair enough since Pacquiao started his career at 106.

Anyway even if Gayweather is getting 15mil for fight Marquez doesn't mean anything. He got the bigger share because he IS the bigger draw than Marquez BUT, Gayweather is not a bigger draw than Pacquiao. He has more fan base than Gayweather. Pacquiao's fan base is not limited to Asians, there are Americans and Europeans that supports Pacquiao. He has more excuse than Pacquiao. "Pacquiao has already lost by KO.... Pacquiao has been outboxed blah blah blah. I want the bigger share because I haven't be beaten blah blah blah. Mosley is not PPV material .....with 5 loses...."

Pacquiao wants Mayweather to go down at a fair weight and wants the bigger share of the purse because Pacquiao deserves it.

Blah blah blah, Floyd is ducking because he want test himself, Blah blah..But Pac wants the fight because he wants 65/35, he wants Cotto at 140, and Shane at 144..yeah yeah we know. floyd is scared to fight everyone, and everyfighter he fights sucks all the way until they fight the next guy then they are a test for that fighter and a great fight for that fighter. Maybe you should take a step back and read and understand the crap that you and other like you post.
