No way, man. Jack-DeGale was infinitely more competitive throughout than Martinez-Chavez Jr, which I find to be a bit overrated on the whole. Sergio's fights with Macklin, Murray and Barker entertained me more than his fight with JCCJ.

I would if I was talking about the Super-6, which I am. Not to be confused with Post S6, which I ain't.

Degale would be a 'European level' fighter in most divisions, he's lucky he's in the weak 168

No doubt, because neither of them are on the level of Martinez, they're both evenly matched and fairly average. Personally I loved Martinez-Chavez Jr. though, I'd been looking forward to that one sided beatdown for over a year.

I wish boxing would remove these filler divisions. The sport would be a lot more fun.

Division was fairly weak under Calzaghe. It thickened a bit after Calzaghe moved up and retired, but not by much. Froch was a solid guy in an average division. He seemed to be easily outpointed by Dirrell only to be given the hometown decision. That being said, if Froch got in shape I'd favor him over that slapping fairy DeGale, and he already destroyed Groves.

I agree the 168 pound division is over rated.

I wouldn't pick anyone in that ranking to beat an in shape Froch outside of maybe Jack.

Incredible, I think it takes true talent to piece together a post detailed with unstructured criticisms regarding such an entertaining bout. I never really rated Degale as true top level talent but his athleticism alone gives him some distinction in the division. As for Jack I suggest you put aside your emotional disconnect with who or what he represents and maybe judge him based off his fine performance versus Groves, Bute, Degale. I thought he clearly won 7/5 and even durning the closing rounds his dominance of the atmosphere was quite revealing. It's so bizzare that an avid fan such as yourself can't see or chooses not to accept certain fighters due to lack of emotional ties to them.

In any case Froch would have his hands full against Jack...he's patient, gritty, smart and crafty. I can't imagine any version of Carl that just walks through a guy like Jack to much fortitude and too focused under pressure to just crack at the slightest sign of adversity. It would be a close competitive barn burner. I disagree the men you mentioned are not in the same level as Jack has proved his confidence and ring generalship are just a cut above Groves, Degale and Bute.

Zurdo Ramirez and David Benividez are leading a Mexican Revolution in the division and will clean it out before the middle of next year, that is if they aren't both ducked like the plague.

I'm actually a big fan of Groves, and even DeGale, but as a fan I can acknowledge their ample shortcomings. Jack is on their level and is just as average as they are, you can't honestly make an argument that Jack is a cut above, when the reality is that both draws are perfectly acceptable, and the Groves match should have been as well. The man isn't anything special, so stop making his habit of overachieving in matches he should have lost more impressive that it really is. Somehow I have a feeling you wouldn't be singing the praises of Lee, Saunders or Lemieux if they had a series of hard fought 1 point wins or draws over each other in a round robin.

Froch having his hands full with Jack is hilarious.

Huh? Lee, BJS and Lemmy aren't SMW's are they?

I'm also a big fan of Lee have been for a long time. BJS just doesn't fight enough for me to care but he's talented and Lemmy's a hardworking MW that I don't praise enough. I'm not 100% sure where your getting at but keep in mind you've admitted you have your biased I soely base my preferences on the content of the fighter.

As for Jack....well what can I say I had him comfortably winning the Degale fight and you found it to be razor thin draw which I find almost blasphemous. Jack had taken charge from mind fight slowly breaking Degale and gaining momentum right till the end and even dropping and just about stopping him. I'm sorry I find your opinion horrifyingly unfair for Jack, Degale's moments where few and far between as the fight progressed while Jack become consistently better.

Froch is awesome mainly because he's just above average in every major category plus his mega ultra heart and determination hmmmmm sounds like Jack doesn't it? I'd give him a slight edge in power and jack a slight edge in speed, if you don't see the recipe for a drag out war between these two then I can't help you adopt that "eye" it is what it is.
