Ortiz went to apologize for the intentional foul, at one point Cortez did say lets go.... However the ref is only to give three instructions

The time keeper never heard Box, Lets go is not a command that is given to instruct the fighters and the time keeper to fight on..

Which is exactly why Cortez said hold on, looked at the time keeper while Ortiz is showing sportsmanship and apologizing, the time keeper never started the clock when Floyd hit him because he never heard the official say Box nor did he say TIME IN....

 

Well the Cortez was in the wrong then. Because a Ref has to make sure the time has started before the action is resumed. Not the other way around

It's "Time In!" then the ref signals its "BOX!" That's how Cortez has done it in the past, so why now its "Let's go" then asking the Time keeper "Are you ready?" ?

The ref say "time in" while still between them

Then, while still between them, signals and yells "Box!", then moves out keeping an eye on the action.

It's not like Floyd hadn't shown in the past if you slip or try to talk to him, tap hands, whatever...he'll bust you in the ****in' mouth for it. I like that ****!
