yea, Lamont Peterson. A guy that was shutout, beaten pillar to post, and completely manhandled by Bradley. Hell, Urango can take out Peterson.

How about a step up and not a step down?

The winner of Froch/Kessler is more deserving, especially Froch. David Haye is, both Klitschko's are, the winner of Pavlik/Martinez is...I'm not even confident in picking Alexander over guys like JuanMa and Gamboa. I don't think he has a much better record and isn't as impressive either.

I'd say top 20, probably outside the top 15.

I do think it's a good fight, though. It's much better than Kotelnik, although Guzman's last win was a bit dubious because of the weight issue. A Torres fight would be fun, though.

Why would anyone with other options risk a fight with Guzman right now? You could go through camp, burning the usual time and expenses, and there is a good chance that Guzman would come in overweight and put the whole thing in jeopardy. His last fight was contracted at 135 and he came in at WELTERWEIGHT. That's just not giving a care about the sport or about your opponent.

of course my list would only be possible if he were to defeat Guzman. Which I'd be picking Guzman by SD. Alexander is not there right now, I agree.

I find it more pathetic than funny as he does. Who targets Kotelnik? A decent fighter, but not somebody that a guy like Alexander should be going after. If he ever becomes a mandatory, then fine.

This guy is just looking for attention. Reminds me of my girlfriend when she throws fit to get me to pay attention to her.

Just agree with this guy or ignore him. I have found agreeing is always the best way though...

Stricter contractual language. Ala Mayweather-Marquez, the penalties wouldn't be as severe since the fight wouldn't be as big. But tougher penalties written into the contract should be sufficient to put opponents minds at ease.

  13. **** that. When my wife throws an attention fit I use words to tell her how ******ed she is being, and to grow the **** up... and then I bounce the **** out.

Guzman is a **** who can't do math. "Little Tyson" has absolutely **** all in common with the real Mike Tyson other than the facial similarity.. he needs to drop that moniker straight away.

  14. Its the fight I'd rather see Alexander take. Peterson, despite being easily beat by Bradley, actually deserves the fight more than Guzman.

And with Peterson (or anyone else in the 140 lb. division) Alexander's team would actually feel confident that their opponent will make a real attempt at making the contracted weight.

But why would a guy with other options deal with a guy like Guzman, where you have to have penalties in the contract to make sure he shows up at the correct weight? It's an extra headache that is not needed. There is not enough demand for Alexander/Guzman to make it a big enough money fight to jump through those hoops. Alexander could fight someone else on HBO for a similar payday and not have to worry about collecting some after the fact penalty.
