Nah. Pacquiao took some pretty big counter left hooks from Cotto fine. They were good punches and would have rocked/stunned him I'm sure, but he wouldn't have been knocked down or out for me.

Besides, I don't think he'd land punches of that variety on Pacquiao. Of course Floyd has a much better defence and that's why Pacquiao will take a lot more leather from Mosley on the whole, but those punches were one's that specifically exposed a few of the flaws in Floyd's unconventional shell defence. When he stopped with the shell and put his hands up, Mosley never came close to landing those punches again.

I can see what he's saying. Floyd's D is more versatile, I think he's more effective and comfortable on the inside than Manny and a better counter-puncher so it allows him to sit in the pocket flat-footed and pick guys off.

Manny fights more square on and his defence and guard is pretty standard and he's not as accomplished or comfortable on the inside, so he can't really sit in the pocket. What he can do of course with his footspeed and the angles he presents is keep things at mid-range though, circling in the centre of the ring firing combinations off.

 

More Hittable? YES! Smaller? YES! Weaker Chinned??? I think Manny's chin is as strong as anyone in the game. Not reason whatsoever to doubt his chin.
Now, Manny's fighting style is very different than Floyd's. Floyd has become more economical on his punches but VERY ****ING SMART!!I also think Floyd hits harder than people think. Manny strategy on the other side, is to hit you 5-6 times for every punch you connect. Especially when you connect a good one. And he definately can take a punch.

Now, I think Shane likes that. He likes to trade, he can punch, and he can take a punch. I think if Shane shows up in top shape, this will be a hell of a fight. Cotto cuts easily and gets discourage when things dont go his way. And I think he dedication to the training is not the best anymore. Margarito is just too ****ing slow and has no head movement. I still think a top shape Cotto could take him.

I don't think Shane can compete with Manny for 12 rounds. But I think he can make a hell of a fight and he will definately hit MAnny more than Margarito. LET'S SEE HOW MANNY TAKES IT.....Also, I want to see what happens to Manny training now that he is a busy congressman.

 

I doubt that very seriously. Pac's got a tested chin and bangs with the best of them. Floyd gets touched and he don't like it very much. I really don't think it's close as all as far as chin's go. Let's see what happens on may 7. Pac will get hit, lets see how he reacts. I think ur gonna be disappointed.
