    Yes. Fresher, not lethargic, faster.

That is if cotto plans on fighting someone he has already beaten.

1 minute is all you needed to see a major difference. His jab was sharper and he was more focused as he was maintaining distance better.

He was sitting on his punches which ultimately is what produced that hard left that hurt Quintana. And he was much more responsible with his defense although he still needs to bring his right up somemore.

Other than that one little flaw he looked much better. Quintana was struggling to get inside because of that jab. And because Williams wasn't voluntarily giving up his height. Being reserved he was able to force Q to reach even more for the left. And because Q was reaching further, it made his reaching more transparent. That allowed Williams to catch him coming in.

In the first fight most of those lefts landed because Williams was stepping in at the same time. It was so close as to obstruct Williams' view as he was trying to land his own punches. The shot either came from under Paul's jab or over his shoulder. Either way with more distance the lunging punch is better seen.

AND- He fully extended his arms to punch, something he rarley does.

If Paul actually used his height he would knock Cotto out in less than 5 rounds.

    Okay. Paul Williams destroyed Quintana.

But Quintana destroyed Paul Williams the first time?

I think it is fair to say that both took each other lightly when it mattered.

A third match would be necessary. You CANNOT tell me that was the same hungry Quintana who showed up the first time around.

YES he brutally beat Quintana. I give him Kudos.
But the records still show 1 and 1. Not 5-0 for Paul Williams. Not 4-1 for the Punisher. Hell NOT EVEN 2-1.

    1 to FREAKING 1.

Now for all those who are too blind to see that. Please, stop posting immediately and repeat grade 1 math.

I feel that Cotto's win over Quintana was more brutal and impressive than the PWs win over Quintana. Why? Because Cotto broke him down over the course of a few rounds. The result? Look at Quintana's face and expression at the end. The guy looked like a person who was jumped and beaten by a gang of people. He was bleeding from the mouth, swollen bags under his eyes, he looked bad. Against PW in the rematch, sure he got his ass kicked, but it was only for 1 round when he was caught cold.

i think floyd's easily the most gifted fighter in the world right now who would (easily) outbox anyone if they wanted to try and box him.

however, and despite cotto's moderate resume prior to the torres fight (which i think is the fight that really brought him into his own), cotto has easily faced some of the toughest opponents of any P4P fighter in recent years compared to any of his contemporaries.

cotto is carved out of wood and has proven it, and if he doesn't fight williams next - assuming he beats margarito - then i can onl assume it's a reaction to the judgments on floyd. which are justified.

Paul Williams looked impressive in this fight without a doubt. i would like to see a fight with Cotto in the future, should Cotto get passed Margo which I think he will IMO. PW will give anyone hell though, if he uses his height like he did in the second Quintana fight, he will give anyone 147-154 problems

I think that if Quintana had hypothetically gotten out of the first rounds the fight could have turned very difficult for Paul since Quintana was holding him darn near even for the first two minutes. I think people are blowing this win out of proportion just a bit.
