Sadly? I think this reflects more poorly on Quintana than it shines on Williams. I mean all due credit, he started as he should. But Quintana was cold and starchy comin in. He got caught so early it raises questions about "why he wasnt ready?" 2 his corner.

Williams is a BIG WW really a MW with his frame. I dont know how much longer he stays at 47? It seems he might try the winner of Cotto vs Margarito and has earned a shot.

Either way? 154 is a calling soon enough:good

    I'm down for Williams vs Mora:yep :D

No styles makes fights and i'm sure that Paul Williams isn't always going to be a sure thing ... he proved that in the first fight w/ Quintana.

I think that if Cotto loses or doesn't look good against Margarito, then it should set up a potential fight between Williams and Cotto ... A Cotto v Margarito rematch or a Williams v Margarito rematch/ unification bout.

Only time will tell if Williams is the real deal --

Exactly what I said. However, now that Floyd is retired... most will have to downplay Cotto to make it seem like Floyd wasn't ducking him but that he was just telling the truth.

    Let's get this straight people.

Quintana DOMINATED Paul Williams the first fight. I knew he won the fight by round 10. I didn't even NEED to see the last two rounds of that fight to know Quintana by wide UD.

So Paul Williams gets a tko victory over Quintana and all of a sudden he's the better man? LMFAO

That's the dumbest **** I have EVER heard.

So if a boxer completely outboxes a brawler the first time, then gets a rematch and gets caught by the brawlers punch. He isn't entitled to a rematch?

Here's the real deal from someone who actually boxes, not an armchair athlete.

Quintana CAN beat Williams again JUST like Williams CAN beat Quintana.

More head movement, be abit more wary of Williams Power/Punches. Tons of Body work and PRESTO. Quintana wins the rubber match.

Could you not blame Quintana for not respecting Williams pitter pat punches after the first fight? Like c'mon. It was a mistake. An Honest mistake. Anybody can get caught.

I never said either were the sort.

I was making a general comparison.

You want proof that Quintana was taking Paul Williams power lightly?

When did he get staggered or dropped by ANYTHING PW threw in the first fight?

When was he in trouble of getting stopped? The answer, never.

So he didn't respect Paul Williams power and thus UNDERESTIMATED him. THUS taking him lightly and losing.

If you were to compare styles anyways, Quintana is more of the boxer.

Why? He doesn't have the physical advantages that The Punisher has and thus has to use skill, angles and ringsmarts to keep the match even.

Any idiot with 6" reach can keep a jab pumping full force all day. If it wasn't for PW freakish size advantage over everybody, i doubt his "boxing ability" would take him very far...

Okay, so what if Carlos wins the rubbermatch? Then what, he fights the winner of Cotto vs Margarito. I don't see Cotto wanting to fight Carlos again. Face it, when Cotto beats Margarito, he will be considered the linear champ. Nothing else to prove at WW. Who is next? 154 maybe.
