I love Cotto, and it'd probably be harder to call today than it was a good year ago.

Still think Paul would've been a horrible match for him, Paul would chase him around all night long and corner the smaller man, throwing punches from all angles non stop.
Cotto would time him with some beautiful shots, no doubt about that, but Cotto doesn't have the headmovement or legs to do what Martinez did, nor does he have the all around physical strength to do what Martinez did.

Paul Williams stops Cotto, I'm sure of it.

Prey tell me why Cotto would be ''trying'' to get inside Williams? Williams will come forward, Cotto won't need to try to manouver his way in. Granted, I would favour P-Dub, but it wouldn't be a forgone conclusion. If Cotto could evade Williams' initial burst of shots when trying to get inside, get under his arms, work the body and then come back up at the end of a combination it's not going to be an easy night for Williams in the slightest.

Yes Laras weakness has always been the inside. He lacks an inside game and backs straight up. However i am more than sure about PWs chin. The dude always fought balls to the wall and after the first Martinez fight he started fighting cautious all of a sudden. against Cintron of all fighters. I dont blame PW he took too many shots and in the first Martinez fight he took brain rattling punch after punch. Thats why in the rematch he was starched the way he was.
It really makes you appreciate guys like Margarito whose chin has held up a decade of punishment and still seems to have it. It will be interesting to see what his chin is like after the Pac fight.

The guy is an idiot though. He has never utilized his reach before and the one time he made an attempt at it against Cintron he looked horrible. Some guys just cant change. With reach like that you would expect to see a guy develop a powerful jab and straight right but instead he seems to just focuse on volume. PW really could have had a better career had he left Peterson early in his career.

I think its a toss up and normally you would have to favor PW but his chin is cracked and being that Cotto wont have to get inside that reach to punish him i can see Cotto stopping him. Cottos lack of defense and chin would make this one a cant miss a second type of fight though.

I hope is chin isn't gone, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. We can only wait and see though.

Yea...gets to the point where I dont like to see him fight not utilizing his gifts. The way he fights, he's a counter punchers dream...swarming inside with those long arms, instead of learning how to jab and one two...countless opps to time and counter.

    Damn Sergio's knockout was beautiful.

And I also think Cotto has an opportunity to hurt him a lot to the body and slow down that volume.
