Korobov is rumored to be going to 168 to fight Chris Eubank Jr. That fight was originally supposed to happen in 2014. I agree it'd be nice to see a rematch, even though I thought Jermall won by a couple of rounds. Korobov definitely got screwed in the Aleem fight though. There's no way Aleem won more than 4 rounds.
He stayed with haymon which was dumb since he knew he was going to 160 because they dont have many options at 160. Yes he wanted those fights. He just like crawford stayed with the wrong promoter when he moved up. Is crawford ducking pbc fighters at 147 since they have all the star names there?
He’s never fought a true puncher. @Serge has done a compelling post on his opponents lack of heavy hands.....it’s a fact he’s feasted on feather fisted fighters and outside of Korobov and Trout (two fighters who arguably beat him) he’s fought a succession of feather fisted bums.
Charlos are clowns. Both of them. Not even close to world class. Fringe contenders at best. Always great to rewatch that first 7 rounds of Korobov fight and the straight left down the pipe from Korobov. Couldn't miss it. Easily won that fight. 9-3 or 10-2 rounds for Matvey.
Fair point, but there's one difference though, ESPN/FOX work with the same bussines model, hype fighters on tv network, marinate big fights and put them on ppv. Crawford will eventually get those big fights because it will make financial sense. Now DAZN and ESPN/FOX are completely different, it will be impossible for Jermall to get the big fights now.
Haymon must be doing something right because his fighters sure are loyal to him. Haymon fascinates me to be honest. He seems like this mysterious genius who is always a few moves ahead of other promoters. And now he controls all the heavyweight belts. Yet we never hear a word from him. Does he even go to the fights?
Doesnt mean that he has a shaky chin. He destroyed j rock williams and he has some pop and hits you with shots you dont see.
No it doesn’t but he’s also technically below the very top fighters imo and it’s just a vibe I get from him.
You had the balls to criticize my Golovkin-Derevyanchenko card in a razor close match, and you thought Charlo won a match he clear-cut lost by 8 or 9 rounds? That's what I call ****ing temerity.
