:yep I wish it was just a random bum rather than Lockridge in 'Best Cry Ever', he was a top notch fighter and had genuine power. Robbed against Wilfredo Gomez as well :deal
Surely pure talent and technique are completely different things. Pure talent = Mike Tyson/Ali/Meldrick Taylor Beat technique = Bernard Hopkins/Ken Buchanan/
No, they're inherently connected :deal Wallet, Lockridges oppo' was not bad at all. ATG Feather Pedroza for one. Chavez for another :yep. Only man to stop him, was this dude, one of the greatest chins of all time, perenniel contender Juan Laporte :good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVW2-fJjsPg[/ame] What a sweet counter right, Lockridge looking sharp and skilled early, Laporte showing his rigid, yet well-formed uppercuts and hooks in the 2nd. Lockridge is GONE. I've never seen Laporte demonstrate this kind of pop in any other of his big fights, then again, his level of opposition over the years was as intimidating a slate as you can find. Good one this, if you haven't seen it :good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mw7A9dQqNiI[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV2YVXq3jzA&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTX6IWo5UCM&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc-dhvzGH2A&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCfrhCnUq3g&feature=related[/ame]
