The question is not "why is Floyd a draw because he's boring"

If Floyd wasn't a great fighter maybe you would have a point, but he is a great fighter is who is very much worth watching

Most who call Floyd boring don't understand boxing and never watched him from 130 to prime 147 days. Floyd was a highlight reel just like Jones and the rest of those great fighters of the 90s. Hell Floyd had a 90% ko ratio at 130 and use to let his hands go with great combinations all the way up to early 147 days.

Remember this as well. Roy Jones started getting decision after decision at 175 and people started calling him boring as well. People watch Floyd bc they respect his skill. Even his haters respect his skill deep down.

I enjoy watching his fights because of the intelligence and swift performance. The best at what he does.

If watching Mayweather at work bores you, chances are you're better at checkers than chess.

Watching Mayweather is on parr with watching paint dry or watching the grass grow.. If they made him fight a legitimate opponent on a level playing field with no corruption You'd see Floyd get his a$$ whupped:good

bayless tilted the playing field in favor of floyd by letting him incorporate grabbing and hugging to neutralize any rhythm and/or continuity to pac's offense.

floyd is not a great fighter, he is a great boxer, and you dont follow him because he is a great boxer, you follow him because he is a great black boxer... and that is the straight up truth.

you floyd apologists need to stop using that stupid argument to defend floyd. you have to be a pretty simple person to believe that any reasonably intelligent individual would have difficulty understanding the rules and their application in boxing... its not that complicated.
when you use that argument, it makes me think that you are too dumb to accurately gauge the level of intelligence required to understand the rules of boxing.

nah, they hijacked the mexican holiday schedules. if he is really a draw, he will fight on any weekend. just pure marketing strategy and only in vegas.

Because there isn't anyone better. It's a competition...and at the end of the day it's about WINNING. Floyd is considered unbeatable at his craft. He's special. Couple that with the fan's hatred, his shameless flaunting and his tireless hard work and you have a polarizing figure who is hard to resist tuning in to see. He is someone people hate outside the ring but in some inexplicable way can't help but respect how he has such success at performing his job. It's like what Utah fans must've felt when Jordan and the Bulls came to town.

The 130-147 (prime. Although what did he do in his prime there that was exciting? Nothing) are long gone.

    He doesn't throw combos now.
He doesn't go for the KO now

It's potshotting to a decision win. Every time.

Spot on. It's the "drama" he creates.

Anyone with a brain can see that the moment he steps into the ring is when the drama ends.
