He is puerto rican as his heritage....he was born and raised in Chelsea, MA...which is just about 5 mins away from where I grew up. And ya know what, I STILL CANT STAND THE GUY!!!!!

Tho, he is A HELL OF ALOT BETTER then people give him credit for. He held a share of the HW titles a few times. He beat some very good - great fighters....and other than the KO by Tua (which those shots wouldve dropped most HWs...), he has shown a great chin also.

He may be the most boring fighter out there, but that doesnt mean he isnt a good fighter.

Still he is the Nyquil of the boxing world. PUT YO ASS TO SLEEP!

I am sure Zakman is unsettled, about now. Even if he's sound asleep, I am sure he can, somehow, feel the evil presense of this thread through a sixth sense or something.

Well since RJJ beat Ruiz, wouldnt that mean he is the best US heavyweight?

I thought Ruiz beat Valuev clearly but I also thought he lost pretty clearly to Chagaev. Does he ever fight anymore?

I think you confused John Ruiz with Erik the Red.

If Ruiz is the best U.S. heavy then I welcome our new Soviet overlords with open arms.

Ruiz has been the best US heavyweight the last 7 years. If you are just figuring this out, then you dont know boxing.

The only American that I would favor against Ruiz is Brewster. And thats only because he has the hail mary left hook that he knows how to throw in close quarters.

Samuel Peter and Oliver McCall are the two best USA based heavyweights.

Holyfield is too old, Rahman is to fat, Chambers is to green, the only US heavy out there that stands a chance with Wladimir is John The Quiet man Ruiz now that Brewster is out of the way lets this fight happen!:bbb
