Im getting real sick of these boxers quitting on their stools, insted of coming out of the corner and finishing the fight like men.

It seems more and more fights are ending this way, Sam peter did it, Marquez did it against abraham, De La hoya did it, now Rubio did it......(I am going to excuse Cotto from this bunch for the moment...he atleast didnt do it on the stool and Margarito MAYBE had loaded gloves). It seems like it has been becoming more and more common as of late.

I paid good Money to see a fight, people in the arena paid lots of money, and I expect these guys to give it their all.

i have no problem with it if the fighter has taken a beating and 80% of the fight is over...... i do have a problem with Raul Marquez quiting in round 6, before " he took too much punishment" and it was only rd 6 and he was fighting for a world title......

There are some cases where it is acceptable, but its a bit annoying seeing our "hungry" number 1 ranked challengers doing it.

Maybe the mismatches create this problem. But Rubio took a lot of punishment.

A fighter should NEVER have to quit on his stool. The ref should have already done it and if he hasn't... then EVERY corner should know their fighter well enough to do the right thing and stop the fight themselves.
