Sad fight. Glad Ruddock didn't make it far enough to become a Wilder opponent, or challenge someone remotely decent. He's lucky he wasn't hurt. Time to call it a day for GOOD this time.
Not for nothing but Ruddock looked good before he was caught,he had the country douche bag rocked in the corner with a hook but seemed to get underneath the rope and was hit sideways when he rushed in.
Just watched it. Hard to believe I first saw Ruddock in '86...nearly thirty years ago. And here he is going down so easily. Carman looked like he had some stiff, snapping power, but was nothing special...kinda sloppy. But Razor just couldn't take the punches. Another sad comeback. The Curse of Big George continues...
razors jab wasnt half bad very fast / the smash was at about 65%/ ruddocks legs are completly gone at age 51 .......prime ruddock probably would have taken that dude out in 2 rds ....and used him as a sparring partner after ....as usual u didnt see one right hand from donovan
That was very sad to watch, what was even sadder was Ruddock was actually pretty competitive up to the KO. He landed the jab at will when he bothered to throw it and was landing sporadically with the left smash. Carman's reaction to KOing a boxer over 2 decades older than him was a little hard to watch, nothing to be proud of in beating up an old man that even Briggs would say is too old and shot.
This is where boxing as a sport becomes a disgusting pimp, always willing to give some poor has-been some candy for a favour. Ruddock back in the day became one of my favourite fighters and it's sad to see him end up like this. But unfortunately fighters always believe they can come back, going against ALL logic and common sense.
