If you look closer to the Super 6 you observe two things that most ignore:

1.Is not a tournament everyone with everyone which would had to be.So, in the stage phase Direll avoids Kessler and Ward avoids Abraham and Froch.

2.We all forget the most important official thing: the belts. Even if you qualify in final and win, if you have no belt, what champion are you?
For example: There is a big chance that in the stage three Kessler to have two belts on the table and Taylor to be already eliminated.Imagine what would happen if Taylor would beat in Denmark. We would have a double champion eliminated and a tournament with no belt winner.

    So these are my conclusions:

    A. As I previously said on other threads, the tournament is a desperate and final assault of the american media and athlets in the same time to not get out of their hands the the most promissing division of the next years. From points 1 and 2 it`s obviosly they try by any means to rise their fighters.

B.The tournament is also a perfect cover for the incapacity of the american athlets to do some real achievement in this divison for years. If Taylor would have beat Froch I dare to say this tournament would have never exist. They would have tried an unification with Kessler .So, in this almost desperate attempt to interrupt the european domination in SMW, they try to rise the young wolfs Ward and Direll and to give to Taylor an ultimate chance.Remember the observation from 2.

It`s about statistics. After all, americans have a a saying which is cunny if I would use their words: If you can`t beat them, allie with them.

Anyway, it`s a good thing for us,the ones who want matches.
